The revenge of the sith movie game is EXTREMELY underrated. Excellent animations, combat, and even couch coop along with 6 bonus missions and plenty of combos. They don’t make them like that anymore…

Fun fact: that duel mode wasn't remotely in the plan... we were already crunching 14 hour days / 6 days a week on a year schedule. All of the duels and other unlockables were done by myself and a small team (1 animator, 1 character designer, 1/2 environment artist) in our "spare time".

Hey, IGN, do one on the Moviebattles 2 mod for jedi Academy. It's 10 times better than movie duels currently unless movie duels comes up with a better multiplayer option and dueling/gunning system. Moviebattles 2 is like a true hands-on experience compared to any other Star Wars title to date. It is a 20 year old mod with a living community to this day. Created for Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy. I give it a 9/10 compared to any other title past or present.

That mod is phenomenal fps basically a whole game but admittedly more hardcore and sim like as it's based off of Squad with 100 player online battles. For anyone whose still got an original xbox and their copy of JA, multiplayer is back online through a service called Insignia. I've been playing this game with a friend of mine that way. It's archaic, sure, and not as cool as this, but for nostalgias sake alone it's really cool to be back on my original console with my original copy that i got when I was a kid

I played the hell out of the whole Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series as a kid but I guess I was too old when Movie Battles was released. (I do remember a mod called Knights of the Force, which had a similar premise but I don't think it was ever finished). I really feel an urge to install the game just to check it out. Crazy to think this game is so popular after 20 years.

I prefer Movie Battles 2's combat system over this though, saying that this combat definitely follows the original games' combat system more closely, but Movie Battles 2 features heavy emphasis on being able to block at the right time as you point your crosshair in the direction of the incoming attack etc. Highly recommend looking at Movie Battles 2 for its lightsaber combat and different movie-based maps that have their own unique objectives for both teams.
