@@BlossomPathOnStage15 Ferraris and Lambos are built to stretch their legs. On a mountain pass with a gradient, you can't use most of the 500+ hp those cars can have because you spend most of the time cornering rather than accelerating. Also, because of the gradient there is less traction available, so more horsepower = more wheelspin which slows you down. Because these cars are built for speed they are less suited for tight winding roads. The ideal car for a mountain pass is small, light, 200hp (probably lol i'm no expert) with quick, responsive steering and throttle, unless the pass itself has more straight sections. Take all of what I say with a grain of salt pls thanks.

growing up using a g27 i learned a lot about vehicle dynamic/car control. watching keiichi tsuchiya in all his videos during this time i was able to connect the dots and understand why the car does what it does whether it was from the outside or inside the car looking at driver input on the steering wheel and pedals, etc. as a driver/car enthusiast there’s seriously no feeling like being able to grasp/understand the behavior of a car just by looking at a video. Since i can’t explain every little detail of a car movement but just understand when looking at what the car/driver is doing i would say to explain, doing this is equivalent of being able to read (lol). Before you could, it’s just symbols on pages but after you learn you understand each and every thing. with the right simulation/driving game it’s mind blowing how much you can learn from using a wheel. this video seriously brings it all back full circle for me, thank you logitech😌

I lived the touge lifestyle for a couple of years, it was very exciting and very expensive too. Car repairs, car parts. Eventually I fell into hard times financially and couldn't keep going. It was very dangerous too, I almost ended up in a an accident many times. Luckily I only crashed once and it wasn't bad, went over a patch of ice in winter and hit the guardrail. For the time I lived that lifestyle it was just like being in an episode of initial D, exactly the same. It was dangerous and expensive while it lasted but I don't regret having done it. Many times I miss those nights going to the mountain pass, the adrenaline, the excitement. Maybe one day I'll be able to go back to it.
