Some more fun facts about the drill. Early on when the drill got added in the supply drop update. Some enemies that weren't supposed to spawn could spawn while using the drill like the gripmaster (the hand that grabs you and throws you to another room). The worst part is that gripmasters spawned during a drill fight have contact damage and hurt you constantly as long as they're floating above you which is... Always. Using the drill in the resourceful rats lair spawns rats, which don't count as enemies so the next wave spawns immediately, which is also rats. This makes opening chests there very easy. Chests in the abbey of the true gun can spawn the servant of the old king to fight you. Multiple of them even.

I may as well mention this, as It may have been patched. Right near the start of Gungeons and Dragons, you could use a drill on the resourceful rat chests. Opening them would have the drill misplaced, drilling into an area near the side of the chest instead of the lock. The floor would be that of the Area. However, and this may just be bad memory, but I remember the room being around half the size of the drill room. The enemies inside were the passive rats that normally stride in the rats lair. I couldn’t kill them by stepping on them, but the chest opened without them dying. I’m sure somebody else found this, and hopefully somebody has an image, but I don’t. -Build

I think what people are drawing from is that since Exit the Gungeon is basically the canonical result of the Gunslinger killing the Future those cylinders very well can be one of the same only since the Gungeon for Exit the Gungeon is nothing but a paradox tearing itself apart those enemies can be the result of the Gungeon being turned into a paradox.

In a recent video by Retromation, Ring of Chest Friendship made a locked chest spawn after the first wave of a drill-room fight. What would have happened if he had gotten another drill charge and used it on that chest? Also, say you use the drill during a boss fight by spawning a locked chest in. Upon completing the enemy waves in the drill room, do you have to restart the boss fight upon returning (like with teleporter prototype)? Or does the boss fight continue from where you left off? If the boss fight does continue, if you get hit by an enemy during the drill room waves but not by the boss you were fighting, would you get a master round?

I just found an epic glitch. With the synergy of the M1911 where one will orbit around you, you can make it shoot forever with rapid pace. If you have the bullet gun and oribital bullets, you shoot the bullet rapidly and guns orbit around shooting bullets. Then switch to the M1911 and it counts as an orbital like the orbiting guns. This makes the orbiting M1911 act like the orbiting guns that shoot bullets because they are both orbiting guns. So the orbiting M1911 will rapidly shoot bullets with infinite ammo.

You say early on that you can't use the drill on unlocked chests. … Then near the end you state you can't use the drill on the chest that holds TGTCKTP… A chest that is never locked game-wise. Imagine getting to TGTCKTP's chest for the first time-and finding it locked, but you have no keys, drill, nor anything else that could unlock a chest… Your only options are to quick restart, return to breach, or quit to desktop. That would suck.

Im kinda sad you didn't try other thing that might have been less obscure like trying to teleport out. I had something glitchy happen with the drill where after I beat all the enemy's in that room i used pandora's box and when it was done the game faded to black. But the game was still active I just couldn't see I had to use the map to navigate and it killed my run. I haven't had I chance to replicate this and mind you it was on console so idk if it can be replicated.
