are you're 'screwing" in you right foot with the feeling in the heel or toes? And what does your left/lead foot doing as you lower? Just curious of the feel I should have.

Seems like a match to what Milo Lines teaches. Aussie pro Bradley Hughes also teaches pressuring down through the trail leg at the start of the downswing and rotating rather than rushing to the lead leg. I think of it as a high-low-high swing. Start by standing tall, go low as you rotate and then high again as the left shoulder goes up.

This video is definitely in line with Milo’s teachings it seems like a continuation of a video with Milo on the exact subject.

... this "flattening" of the arc as the club head comes back to the ball fits with Milo's preference for a relatively symmetric shoulder turn/drop in back swing and thru swing - resulting in a hand path that goes with/causes flattening

You're still steep. No matter what you work on, if you don't work on that, your results will be mixed at best. Your subconscious believes that is needed. So while training a slightly different movement pattern it may show immediate results. Your subconscious will eventually high jack your swing believing you need to be steep.

When accomplished golfers begin to discuss “feels,” you need to start “paying attention.” Next thing you’ll be telling us is that you “subconsciously” swing the golf club….

@@lookmil107 who is the accomplished golfer? Think what you want, but I suggest you go read a Bob Rotella book before casting stones. He specifically discusses this exact ideal. I would surely bet I'm a bit more accomplished than yourself having been involved in the professional game for over 20 years. Dabbled in long drive, attempted Nationwide Tour Monday Qualifiers was a +2.5 handicap, shot a 69 from the tour tees in 2000 at Kapalua in Maui, given over a 1000 lessons. Yeah I think I'm accomplished and know what I'm talking about.

I like it. I would personally focus on what the clubhead is doing. If you focus on the clubhead the body will figure it out. the other way involves the conscious mind controlling movement which it doesn't do at all well. Conscious mind is slow and simple. Unconscious mind is fast and complex. who do you want in control?

Funny thing, I was just working on this before watching this video.. If I could bring my right shoulder down and out, it put me in a lot of good positions.. head dropped, left hip was getting out of the way and weight was shifting well

Its back flexion and right side crunch done properly that is the "lowering" and then going into back extension to get the hub shift. Knee flex contributes minorly ideally. And pre torque your right hip. Torquing it on the way back is far too late.

Hi Brendon Isn’t the real 3 D golf swing angular momentum consisting of a combined movement of linear direction happening at the exact same moment rotational direction is happening? Absolutely! And so if you can show the discipline of how to easily achieve both at the same time; wouldn’t it be worth it? So far I believe there is only one way our brain can actuate such a swing and I have never seen any golf instructor teach it. In a nutshell it is a simple way to wind up our body and then to simply let it go. However we must keep our body in our set golf posture and head down until the momentum of the club head brings our body up and rotates our head left to the finish of our swing. Often times the average golfer does this nicely and then ask themselves: I wish I could bottle it. How is it done? Remember you only have one chance to get it right unless your name is Mr Mulligan. So take your time and do it correctly. First: do a little wiggle waggle with your belly button to wake up your oblique and stomach muscles. Second: Pause and then aim directly at your intended target while getting into your ideal golf posture bending your body with your lead elbow initially pressing at the end point down across your chest. (Do not apply any pressure with your trail elbow as that needs to bend and moves rotationally in conjunction with your rotating belly button ) Third: Staying in your golf posture keeping you head down; however you may turn your head once to your lead side to double check your target. Forth: while remaining in your golf posture simply start your back swing with your belly button rotating to your trail side along with your lead elbow not rotating with your belly button but linearly following it. That’s it! Your hands, arms, shoulders, hips, and knees will immediately respond naturally winding your body up to the point it has no other choice but to shift and turn your body left. It is through the physics of parametric acceleration that you can trust your club head going directly through your ball and that the momentum of the accelerating club head will automatically rotate your head to your lead side as you are standing your body up at the end of your swing. Hope I made myself clear and you try it yourself. Cheers 👍😃⛳️🥂

Yea Brendon, it’s not new at all. What you two are attempting to understand was called “pinning the shaft” back in the day when maintaining shaft flex into and through impact was considered important. Nobody “pinned the shaft” better than Lee Trevino. The result of Trevino pinning the shaft was that his club head did actually slightly “chase after the ball” immediately after impact, but his hands stayed with his body turn. Pinning the shaft is a great way to also hit a slight draw with what would otherwise be determined a square club face at address. Brendon, you have absolutely no idea whatsoever as how to maintain throughout your entire swing and then utilize the swinging of the weight of the club head. Yea, that old school Percy Boomer stuff about “swinging the club head” is complete nonsense-my ass. It’s the key. See Ben Hogan’s 5-Lessons page 93 for the key to unlock your frustration. “What do the hands do? The answer is they do nothing “active” until…” If you do not fully and completely understand what Hogan is attempting to convey on page 93, then you are officially LOST-in LAG LAND.
