Pete's grey hair trips me out. I was 15 when I bought my first libertines album in 2000. I'm 37 now. Time goes so fast, looking in the mirror everyday doesn't always do it justice. Sometimes you need an outside perspective. That outside perspective to me has become music icons of my youth. At 15 the music of the strokes and the libertines, made me feel young and invincible. This was are time. Nothing could stop us. I've lost many friends and family along the way. The essence of youth slowly falls from are grasp. Seeing Pete go through, many of the samethings we all go through in life. No matter how trepidatious, life never stopped him from picking up a guitar. The thought of that, Ignites something in me. A forgotten part of myself, that was glossed over by the weight of life. Thank u pete for the inspirational life lessons I've learned from your music.

I identify this moment as when Peter finally realised that something had to change, that he was also knowledgeable about the world of pain which was ahead in order for him to get healthy. He appears so childlike, innocent, naive ,yet wise to the world. Fighting the imminent tears, he sang his way through the storm. Well done Peter. Your music, your words, your very being inspires a lot of people.

@@temujinkhan4986 sadly I live in the states and I hate it here. Absolutely hate it. I'm trying to figure out a way to move to the UK permanently. I don't know if you believe in this stuff but I swear I must've lived there in a past life or something. I can physically and psychically feel something pulling, drawing me there. I love everything about it: weather, architecture, the sea, people, different accents, the way people speak and write, books, music, humour, movies and television shows, greenery and nature and englishmen!! When I get there I'm going to find some rolling green hills and roll down them over and over :) But there's so much I would have to do.. switch from social security to PIP, find a methadone clinic, a dr that'll prescribe my valium, housing help blah de blah de blah. I wish it wasn't so difficult. So when I say it is my dream to see the Libs/Pete play and to meet him, I mean it with all my heart. I think about sitting down and having a long conversation with him over drinks.. and my ultimate fantasy is we become great friends. I would love to be his and Katia's sidekick lol. I have the libertine tattoo on my forearm; I got it as a gift for myself when I cleaned up off smack for the 100th time almost 3 years ago (I've had a few slip ups since then but I'm pretty steady being on the methadone again and all).
