Oh my god it's becoming a trend lately where these parents are driving around drunk with their kids and I don't understand it? There should be much much harsher penalties when they are driving drunk with their children because the small little children have no say so in their own safety This is disgusting and I'm sick of seeing these people They should lose their license for life in my opinion!!!!!!!

His giving of the FSTs was bad. Officers should practice prior to actually giving them on the roadside. His explanations were incomplete, unclear and very easy for a defense attorney to challenge.

These field sobriety test are exercises for law enforcement to make their case in court ironclad. There is no Pass or fail. The cop's are practically salivating during this exercise. One should decide if they are willing to lose their driver's license a year or 18 months instead of being a part of the Circus show.. This is a no win proposition.

Agree 100%. I’d advice anyone who feels they’re sober to not take these tests and insist on the breathalyzer and blood test. These other tests are designed to fail. Similar to trying to win at tic-tac-toe.

@@Skroggn I heard an officer tell a DUI participant 😉 that it could produce a higher alcohol reading. Out of my own curiosity, I looked it up. One article reads in part ‘…mints and gum contain sugar substitutes that can lead to a false positive result.’ So, for people trying to mask the smell with gum or mints, they could potentially be raising the reading? 🤦🏻‍♀️ 😬 The officer also explained that is why they wait the 20 minutes before testing at the station.

Come on American law gives people the go ahead to drink drive,they only get their hand slapped sent on their way,I've seen them on here with 4- 5 DUI and no punishment,it's classed as a minor offence so why would anyone be concerned about getting caught under the influence,here in the UK it's a jail able offence,loss of licence and very heavy fines,not to mention it's seriously frowned upon by the general public so you end up losing your reputation

Maybe being very picky but they could have given her a tissue to spit her gum out in and dispose of it in a bin. I don't know if anyone else have taken their small children to the park on a hot day and found their daughters long hair with a bit sad of chewing gum in it and spent hours teasing and washing it out. In the London borough I used to live in they had litter inspectors. That would have been a £50 fine, probably more now. I use chewing gum but never spit it out.
