Feels like the female interrogator is new to the job. Perhaps the guy is helping to mentor/train her. He even gave her a hand signal at the end of the interrogation to ask 1 last time whether sarah has been telling the truth. Also, the frustration when the laptop died in the middle of the interrogation was absolutely understandable... That was a crucial moment/surprise attack on sarah. Now she had time to ruminate on her response while the laptop slowly reboots...

@@Blazingbud i think he meant to say her way of punishing him, because based on what other people have said too, apparently there was a previous picture where she put her son in a suitcase but the police put it off as a game. It seems like this was probably already a punishment she used against him, and just based on how she's acted it seemed like shes probably left him in a suitcase overnight or for long periods of time before and just like those previous times she went to bed thinking ohh, hes finally gonna feel how i feel from his abuse, she went to bed.

Hello? No, that isn't what occurred. They were try to get her to admit guilt, and a potential unfair claim of intent, without a lawyer present, and further breaching her right to remain silent, by assuming she deliberately intended, possessed this intention, to leave him in the suitcase to die, without any knowledge that death wasn't foreseeable, by being in a suitcase. It's very possible she very much believed he would be able to open the suitcase himself, to let himself go. I'm unclear on if the suitcase was flipped over by her on purpose, so he would have to really struggle to get out, from upside down, or not get out. I do recall them discussing that. Hopefully, I'll rehear it. The circular thinking from the detectives weren't much with any unbias, would be easily frustrating, no depicting anything new. So, I may be mistaken. Pardon.

@@politetiggys How did they breach her right to silence? She never refused to speak, they never threatened her to speak, or coheres her to speak. They read her the Miranda rights, maybe if she didn't have a massive ego she would have known to invoke a lawyer instead of thinking she'll just outwit them and clear her name. It's just not how it works. Her defense would easily rip this evidence to part if it was gained unlawfully, but they did not.

[TW: cycle of abuse, physical abuse, psychological abuse] I have actually spent my whole life trying to understand the mindset of people like this because so many are in my family. It makes perfect sense when you understand that some people have little to no emotional empathy or affective empathy--or they repress any affective empathy that they feel. Affective empathy is feeling for another person or feeling what another person feels. For example, feeling sad when you see someone get hurt or actually feeling physical pain as well. Some people don't feel anything for other people, only themselves. Ted Bundy is a good example. He put his victims through horrible physical and psychological pain, then when he was arrested and tried he complained about the conditions he experienced as a prisoner. This lack of empathy and antisocial behavior toward others is associated with antisocial personality disorder, formerly known as sociopathy or psychopathy. The cause of ASPD is unknown, but it is likely a combination of genetic and environmental factors. In the case of my family, it is both. The genetic predisposition for ASPD is passed down through our genes and reinforced through generations of physical and psychological abuse. My mom broke the cycle of abuse and gave me a childhood full of love. I inherited other genetic conditions from her, like ADHD and autism, but not ASPD. I have a lot of empathy, especially for victims of abuse like she was growing up. We watch true crime together now to try to understand people like her father and grandfather and brothers, who enjoy hurting others. It's important to note, however, that not everyone with ASPD is a killer or even a criminal. Some people with ASPD become surgeons or CEOs, where they turn their lack of empathy into an asset. It's a lot easier to stay calm as a surgeon while your patient starts to crash if you don't care about the patient or their family.

Can you see how powerful the denial and projection of the mind can be? Jungian psychology emphasizes the importance of the "shadow" as an essential aspect of an individual's psyche that can lead to destructive behaviors if not integrated and acknowledged in a healthy way. The shadow refers to the unconscious and repressed aspects of one's personality that are often deemed unacceptable or negative by society or the individual themselves. These unacknowledged aspects can lead to destructive tendencies, such as violence stemming from offense about a belief or value, making fast judgments about others without knowing the full story, and avoidance of important questions. For example, the Charlie Hebdo shooting in 2015 can be attributed to an unacknowledged shadow in the perpetrators. The gunmen were offended by the satirical cartoons published by the magazine and acted out violently in response. The intensity of their reaction suggests that they may have repressed their own doubts and insecurities about their beliefs and values, and were unable to handle the perceived threat to their identity. Similarly, making fast judgments about others without knowing the full story can stem from an unacknowledged shadow. For instance, wrongful imprisonment can occur when someone is accused of a crime based on circumstantial evidence, rather than a thorough investigation of the facts. This is often due to biases and assumptions about the person's character or background, which can be influenced by an individual's unconscious prejudices and repressed emotions. Lastly, avoidance of important questions can also result from an unacknowledged shadow. In a famous interview with Jordan Peterson, he avoided answering the question about the existence of God. This avoidance can be attributed to the discomfort and anxiety that arise when one confronts the unknown and potentially contradictory aspects of their belief system. By avoiding this confrontation, individuals may fail to fully explore their beliefs and understand the true nature of their values. To address these destructive behaviors, it is important to recognize and integrate the shadow through self-awareness and mindfulness practices. Engaging in constructive dialogue and empathy building can also help individuals recognize their biases and assumptions about others, leading to more thoughtful and informed judgments. Furthermore, practicing critical thinking skills to question one's own beliefs and assumptions can help individuals confront the uncomfortable and unknown aspects of their psyche. In conclusion, the shadow in Jungian psychology is an essential aspect of an individual's psyche that can lead to destructive tendencies if not acknowledged and integrated in a healthy way. Violence stemming from offense about a belief or value, making fast judgments about others without knowing the full story, and avoidance of important questions are all examples of destructive behaviors that can stem from an unacknowledged shadow. By recognizing and integrating the shadow, individuals can move towards a more compassionate and peaceful world.

A lawyer could easily help her make the case that she feared for her life which is why she felt that she couldn't let him out of the suitcase. Would be very easy with the past domestic abuse charges or whatever that the guy had as well. (Not for her getting off light just saying lol) This makes me think she really must be absolutely unbearable though because I'm sure every lawyer she's went through has at least tried that line of thinking for her. I bet the problem always comes down to the fact that for her to take that approach she has to admit that she knowingly kept him in the suitcase. Only an idiot would think she can get off with nothing and a vague form of self defense would be her best chance at that possibility. That being said, I don't know why the detectives didn't go down that road to at least try to get a confession. Must REALLY not have liked her lol. I also do hate to say it, but there probably is some truth to her being scared what would happen if she did let him out, but that's obviously no excuse. Lady sucks

To continue your statement, 'is evidence that even though they are human, pigs should not allow emotion affect their job performance.' These pigs, by utilising their phones like teenage girls, have demonstrated their inability to remain focused on their duties and to the task at hand. They should be replaced with more competent individuals.

But they had actually tried, maybe they would have got a confession. Particularly the lead interrogator was terrible and they didn't work well as a team either and cut things off before waiting for an answer.

The most comical, failed Jedi mind trick I’ve ever seen was when she tried convincing the cops that they didn’t need to pursue this matter any further, because living with his death on her hands was punishment enough. I about pissed myself.

What made me the most disgusted at her was at 33:05 where she then says “you guys already made me feel super bad for this, which to me, is more then enough for a punishment”. She thinks that just going through the stress of killing someone and being confronted on it is a fair punishment smh

I hate how she doesn't even try to tell a dumb lie. She just repeats "I didn't do that INTENTIONALLY" as if the investigators will just go "Oh word? Free to go then"

She's not telling a dumb lie, for the simple reason that she's just telling the truth. She was drunk, he was drunk, they were playing around with a suitcase, she thought it was funny, dude didn't and died. Now she's guilty of at least Manslaughter, and she's too stupid to know she's still going to jail. If you watch it back with the assumption that she's telling the truth and the crazy hide and seek story is true, it all makes sense. She's just a narcissist.
