I always cry when Luke sings! I never heard him until a few years ago. I’m 82 and instantly fell In love 🥰 💚☘️🇮🇪. How sad that he died so young but thank God he left so much beautiful music 🎶. 💚💚☘️☘️🇮🇪

Loving always our dearest Dubliners!!! The best of the best bands from Ireland to the World!🎶🎼🎵👍☘🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪 I think we can't describe in words such feeling in deepest of our hearts when we hear this timeless band!!!

It seems we had to leave the party just as it was warming up! I listen to their music every day, if I can, they still brig cheer into an otherwise dreary lockdown world, we will always miss them.

I think this concert is best of the best, but i just wonder is it just short concert or it wasn't fully recorded?

McCann’s clear annoyance at 16:40.

At 3:20 and 13:20 Luke seems quite short with the audience. I get the impression that the crowd were quite loud and were heckling.
@gearoid9835 Жыл бұрын
Luke came across quite rude to the Finnish audience that night. 3:20 and 13:20 for example.

It just feels like light hearted jokes to me
@gearoid983511 ай бұрын
@@ahhhhh607it seems that the audience were quite loud and Luke was responding to that. At 16:40 Jim doesn't look too happy with them.

@@gearoid9835that’s fair and you’re probably right but the comment at 3:20 to me doesn’t seem rude, it seems like a light joke about people from different countries struggling to understand each other

They lost a lot of their oomph without Ciaran
@ianbeadle63132 жыл бұрын
I don't agree. Ciaran was a good performer, but on his passing, the new mmbers took up the reins and were world beaters in the Irish Folk Scene.

Absolutely fantastic, never knew so many good video recordings from the 1970s existed, let alone from this short period with Jim McCann. However, if this is the full concert then it was a rip off ...
@TheDublinersOfficial3 жыл бұрын
Hi Michael. This was all that was used in the broadcast at the time. The concert itself would have been much longer.

@@TheDublinersOfficial hope you don't mind me asking, who are the guys in the end, when they play the wild rover together?
@michaelmas92383 жыл бұрын

@@christophschmidt6052 There are 2 different Finnish groups: Pihasoittajat and Vanha Isäntä. I was the skinny long haired hippie that played fiddle in both groups ;)
