I’m also a raw collector to the bone. Some books I have I put these clear boards on the front and back. It presents and feels just like slab and you can still open it and read it.

Are you using the comic clear mylar bags? How you feel they hold up compared to E. Gerber?

I've only ever tried the e gerber & the bcw mylar bags. They are very similar. I can't really tell much of a difference between those. So depending on what they cost when I need some, that's what I go for lol

I'm not sure if anyone's mentioned this yet but if, god forbid, you drop the clear backboard on the corner, it will significantly harm the comic..

I learned this the hard way. Shipped a $125 book in mylar with a clear backboard. It arrived with spine damge. Had to issue a partial refund. Lesson learned!
