They've also provided convenient print-and play for ALL of the tile expansions (King Arthur, Robin Hood, 3 Musketeers, and Robert E Howard characters such as Conan). I've only played the base game, but these scenarios look really interesting.

Glad you enjoyed the game. I do by best to answer all rules questions on the games I cover, but I avoid individual card/piece effects, as that's a level of detail beyond what I can manage across all the videos I do. I'd suggest checking the rules forum for the game on BoardGameGeek or the publishers website. I hope you can find your answer there - have fun playing!

Hey Rodney, I was curious if you can explain to me how are things "randomly" placed onto the board. I would like to start using the mountain terrain that came with the set, but the instructions only say to "randomly place the tile on the board." What is the method to do that? I was thinking of using two six sided dice to determine this, which holds a random aspect to the game. But the same question applies to the dragon as well. How are things supposed to be determined randomly in this game? :/
@WatchItPlayed9 жыл бұрын
+Majin Wamu Hey Majin, it's been awhile since I last played, so I'm a little fuzzy on the details. This question you might have to take to the company, or check on board game geek. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!
@MajinWamu9 жыл бұрын
Hello again Rodney, thank you for the speedy response. I checked the Board Geek while I was adding this game to my list and it seems I can't find anyone with the same question. I am wondering if perhaps I had missed a rule somewhere that may have been stated in the instructions. I will keep on looking. Thank you Rodney for the response. It is very appreciated.

+Majin Wamu Just wish I could have been a little more helpful. Some games I have a stronger memory of than others!
@MajinWamu9 жыл бұрын
I know what that is like. My household has hundreds and hundreds of games, and we always need the manual right next to us because there are now too many rules to remember. Some games we still have in its protective seal. I just got Boss Monster, and am waiting for an opportunity to try it out.
@Chadwyck128 жыл бұрын
+Majin Wamu Look at about the 16:30 mark in the video and Rodney gives an example of how to place the mountain using 2 6 sided dice. Cheers!

@robbpeppertree10 жыл бұрын
I'd just like to point out that it actually isn't "mandatory" for the Assassin to jump. It follows the same rules as a normal slide, with the added ability of jumping.
@WatchItPlayed10 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure about that - I remember asking the publisher at the time, and they seemed to indicate the jump was mandatory. Did they update that somewhere?
@robbpeppertree10 жыл бұрын
The way it's worded in the rule book seems quite clear that it's a regular slide, with the "addition" of a jump. Nothing indicates that it is mandatory. That's how I've been playing with pieces with this movement such as the Assassin.
@bladesinger20028 жыл бұрын
+robbpeppertree I know that this conversation is long dead but I am putting this here for others to find later. It was confirmed with Catalyst games and on their kick starter. The Jump IS mandatory. Imagine it this way. You jump to the slide icon and then complete a slide. In this way you are only able to jump pieces that are directly adjacent to the piece.
@robbpeppertree8 жыл бұрын
+Charles Patterson That's fairly clear. I wish it were that clear in the rule book. Oh well. Still a solid game otherwise.
@Invaderzerg7 жыл бұрын
Can you please clarify that you are able to "jump" "only Once" and "only over the indicated adjacent tile" and the first jump "IS mandatory". Are you basically telling me that an assassin can't shoot through more than 1 "adjacent" tile and I have lost countless games due to the X-ray attack ability that I thought it had?
@22freedom3311 жыл бұрын
Congratulations, you have reached the same number of seasons as The Simpsons! See, not such a shabby achievement huh?

+Aequilibria Ah, gotcha. For what its worth, I found that section of the rules a little tricky too. I wouldn't want to try to answer, as it would just be my best understanding of it. I'd advise checking board game geek, and maybe asking the rules forum: boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/36235/duke/forums/66
@KyleJonesDrJones11 жыл бұрын
One has to expect that chess and the Duke will have different skill sets, as the Duke contains random elements (what pieces will appear) and chess does not. Opening theory has a great impact on chess, as will experience (since many positions will be familiar) whereas its hard to see how this could be true in the Duke, where the game space is so much larger. So basicaly maybe Luke is a better tactical thinker but you win at chess on experience and grizzled wisdom :D :D :D :D :D
