The Dukes of Hazzard (1979-1985) Then and Now 2022
“Just the good ol' boys, Never meanin' no harm…” We all knew what we were in for when this theme song came on- get ready for the Dukes!
The series has gone on to become a huge part of pop culture history with an incredible line-up of celebrity guest appearances, including Loretta Lynn and Roy Orbison! We tuned in on Friday Nights to watch the duke boys lightly tread on their probation while rivaling folks from Chickasaw county, pissing off Sheriff Roscoe, while we marveled at Daisy’s Beauty. Not to mention the General Lee flying through the air.

Probably one of the most impressionable TV shows I remember as a kid. I had some of the toys, t shirts, metal lunch box and of course the Dukes of Hazzard big wheel. It was a good show that taught some valuable lessons to kids that watched the show. I thank God that I was born in the mid 70s and got to experience being a kid in the 80s...wonderful time...no computers, no cell phones, no stupid agendas....just keeping it simple.

Daisy was iconic, Catherine Bach not only looked fantastic in denim shorts and a bikini, but was also intelligent, gutsy and fiesty, the original definition of girl empowerment! The General Lee was the most iconic TV vehicle of it's generation and still makes the hairs on my neck stand up when I hear Dixie. Flash was the coolest dog on TV! Memories are made of this! And I LOVED watching the very small number of episodes that guest starred British actor, Roddy McDowall as Mr. Roarke's Adversary, Mephistopheles; (or as most people know the character of Lucifer/the Devil) WOW talk about strolling down Memory lanes?! :) And Catherine Back sorta really ruined her natural good looks by getting botox injections into her body in several places, and mostly in her face and lips. Great show, season 1 was actually filmed in Georgia before moving to Burbank for season 2 onward. Daisy and the General Lee were the best parts of the show. Uncle Jesse, Rosco and Boss were all great actors. To be honest the whole cast and crew were top notch. Hats off to the stunt crew. Thanks for posting......
