9:00 NO, they do NOT take into account the curve of the Earth. It the Coriolis Effect and it has to do with the spin of the Earth. You can still prove it's round with it, since the effect changes depending on which direction you shoot. Let's say you sit on the equator and line up a shot do North, the spin will cause the earth to rotate to the right, causing a steady drift left. Now you shoot south, now the spin is to your left and it's a right drift. A shot to the West would have the target comi towards you causing a hit high. A shot East has it moving away from you causing you to hit low. A flat Earth can't account for the variations, only a spinning globe can

5:07 ok so here we go with gravity: if the earth was flat, gravity would be in the middle, thats just what gravity likes to do, be in the center, so the ocean would be a massive sphere pretty much of water right in the center of this "flat earth disc" everything would be pulled towards it. the atmosphere would also be at its highest point here, so the further away from the center of gravity (the massive area where the oceans etc would be) you got, the more difficult it would become to walk away, since gravity is pulling you back, it would be like climbing a mountain with absolutely no gear and nearly everything to hold on to out of reach, as well as gravity consistently pulling you back, the atmosphere would get thinner. IF YOU EVEN MADE IT TO THE EDGE you would need to be wearing a space suit with oxygen tanks to even survive. (some people here would go, "oh but thats why nasa's a space company so the whole nasa thing makes sense", well no, because everything rocket/satellite/anything in/orbiting through the atmosphere would either crash or not work at the edge of the earth for the safety risk of human lives.) if you were to than stand on the actual edge of this disc (i dont care how thin you make it), the actual edge, you would then be directly inline/above gravity and would feel absolutely no struggle in movement/no issues standing upright because you are inline directly with gravity, you are centered with it. then if you proceed to keep going over the edge with this disc, you will just get pulled to the center again, where gravity is. Only an Eclipse has the Earths shadow over the moon. The normal phases of the moon is just the sun shining on a specific part of the moon as the moon rotates around the Earth and changes its position with the sun. We see a crescent, but if we were on the other side of the moon, it would be either just before that side of the moon becomes full or our side of the moon becomes new. But, as an Eclipse doesn’t show a tiny strip across the moon during it, it’s definitely not flat

@@Kerpeles....dude you are looking at the sun through layers and layers of atmosphere. just like when you're looking at a street lamp through fog it looks bigger and brighter than it really is, the sun moving away is seen through layers and layers of atmosphere so it does not appear to get smaller. oh, and actually if you look for videos of the sunset in the desert (where the air is very dry), you will in fact see the sun appear to shrink as it moves away. you're not on a spinning wet pear bro. time to stop taking jabs too.

@@__ZANE__ for some reason planes flying away get clearly smaller. Why would you assume atmosphere perfectly corrects for the distance? That's not how optics work. You just really want to believe. There are no videos showing that. Same thing for the moon. Same distance always.
