I had a girlfriend like that. She would try many things with her business. Crazy fun things and make them work...or not. One time she made this sill piece of art with sentimental and silly items in a grid of boxes. I remember orange peel, my naval lint and a Lego Jar Jar binks. It sold for $100.

its so true. my best friend bought nothing for himself, wore the same shitty clothing for a decade through/out of collage, same shit car. bought an apartment building with savings money in 09 and cold called alumni to get investors over the next decade. we fixed up old, bottom dollar apartments - banks rejected loans to us, people thought we were insane for going so fast, so much risk. now a decade later and all the seed investors have 15K monthly passive income.

Mr. Beast talking about how the algorithm knows him so well that he gets annoyed with how many videos it recommends that he wants to watch is so relatable. I've been watching a ton of KZbin to learn from it, and as a result I get a crazy amount of videos recommended every morning that occupies most of my day to watch them all. I currently have 9 tabs open (not including this one) of KZbin videos I haven't watched yet. It's taken about 12 hours to get it down that far. I never knew how much amazing quality content there was on the platform before. And to think I just used it to watch lyric videos for years. So much wasted time.

Have you tried using the queue function instead? You can start the day just adding all the videos you like into a queue and then work through them without having to faff with multiple tabs and windows.

Also recommend saving using the watch later function! It will create a playlist of videos that you can go back to whenever whereas the queue clears when you exit the browser/app if I’m not mistaken I don’t remember if it’s the same on the browser, but for app you can just hit “save” on the tab where you hit like and select “watch later” or just create your own playlist! I use Watch Later like crazyyy so I’m passionate about recommending it lmao

I am not a youtuber but things he said just resonates so well with me. The obsessed aspect is particularly close to home, I was getting worried about how obsessed I have been with my business and growing it. I talk about it non stop, I hardly watch sports, I have to do everything myself, my family is sick of hearing about it, but I know that what I am doing is working. I remember when Jimmy first started getting big, at first I thought it was cool, got alittle annoyed when little kids got so immersed with him. But after watching this and other interviews/ podcast with him, I started finding him very inspirational and always positive. As someone who also creates, even though it’s music it still follows that rule. Make the best of whatever you want to make and that is such a powerful statement. He said it, he wanted to be the biggest KZbinr, that's his obsession... every minute of the day that's all he could think about... makes you wonder. Anyone know if Mr Beast has ADD? I watched his videos because I was curious, jumped through a few from his early days to latest ones. In the end once you see a few you see them all, he is clever the way he does it but in the end it is the same stuff. He just stated that the retention is key, throw crazy shit in there to keep it interesting. Also I saw a few people that were supposed to be "randoms" to receive free stuff in previous shots.

Not only is jimmy an absolute perfect example of extreme dedication and want to succeed. But you can tell everyone in the interview is genuinely engaged with the conversation. The interviewers are asking phenomenal questions, because they are baffled and want to learn from this insane man of business. And jimmy, being the nice guy he is, is equally engaged trying to help people like he’s been explaining and there’s just no filters here. Just a overall great interview. And jimmy’s workspace and model seems like the most healthy environment for all of his workers to strive the best way they can, and should be looked as a model of running a business.
