Alr so ima explain the man or bear trend for ya Some people will choose man if they haven't had any type of trauma surrounding men. Some people choose bear if they've had sexual or physical trauma surrounding men. For example, i've come across many comment sections on platforms like instagram and would see very depressing comments like: "A bear wouldn't cover my mouth and r*pe me, it would just kill me" and "People would believe me if I said a bear attacked me" etc. It's quite sad to read those types of comments tbh.

Explanatio: Bed rotting is basically something associated with Depression. It means you basically have no motivation to get up, you are just „Rotting away“ in your bed like the name says. Your room becomes messier and messier (leftover food laying around, dirty dishes in the room, dirty clothes everywhere, etc.) while the „Bed rotting trend“ is just staying in bed for a day and relaxing. Those 2 do not add up at all. (I am just speaking from experience here, if I said anything wrong please tell me.)

Sure, many people who picked bear may not have been actually assaulted, but it’s become a very large possibility that if they WERE, then no one would care to help. Looking at how some women answer this question and then saying “well she’s not a victim so she’s wrong” isn’t the point of the trend; the point is to put into perspective that we’ve failed SA victims so hard they’d rather be alone with a deadly animal than a stranger.
