The Dunaways - When Mama's Prayers Are Gone

Wow, what a song. I happened to create this video on the anniversary of my mom's passing in 1986. Purely a coincidence, I had been planning to make a video for this song for some time, and I just happened to create it on this day. It's a little bit narcissistic, since I do have siblings who were as equally important to my mom, but I chose to make this my own personal remembrance of my mom. She was a Godly woman, one of those types of people who everyone wanted to be around. God bless you, Mom. I love you.

Yes, Amy, my mom was a true saint. When Jesus said "you are the light of the world", well, that was my mom. And when she arrived at the pearly gates I'm sure she heard the words "well done good and faithful servant". She was truly a light of the world, and a good and faithful servant.

dont want to even begin to think about it.....almost lost my momma a few years ago, and have went through alot with her over the past few years....by the grace of God she is still with us, and can enjoy life with us.

My Mama passed away on 7/8/2015 and there is not a day that goes by that I don’t think of her!! My Mama prayed all the time for me... whether I was going outta town or even sick... so much has happened to me, health wise, in the passed 6 months and I cry everyday cuz I want my Mama back so bad!!!! This song has helped me cope with the loss of my Mama!!! Those who have ur Mama cherish her!!! I was blessed to have my Mama for 35 yrs

I really love this song because I pray for my kids daily and when I'm gone; they have to stand or kneel down and pray like their mom did. It touched my heart and shed some tears for my children. Thank you for sharing with us. God bless you all!!

This song spoke volumes to me. Last year mum went to Heaven. It was always just her and me and losing her was a shock. I this song has helped settle my soul. I love the Dunnaways, mum brought several of their CD's after first hearing them on a broadcasting radio station - even all the way down here in New Zealand. Thank you to the Dunnaway's for doing what you do, such beautiful music and your messages reach more people than you think. Keep doing what you are doing, its powerful. God Bless!

Thanks for the comments, Matthew. It's been some time since I watched this video that I made last year, but you reminded me about it, and I again broke down into tears in memory of my mom. My life is going very good right now, I am at peace, and my mother is a huge part of why that is. She taught me well.
