I’m glad you mentioned that. I haven’t ridden Rocky Ridge in probably over 10 years and kind of almost forgot about it. I will definitely make sure to ride it next time I’m over there!

Sendy- all your videos are great. Thanks for making them! Can you tell me which waterfall that is in the preview to this video? Cheers
@SemiSendy3 жыл бұрын
Hey James, thank you! Glad you like the channel. That waterfall is called High Falls. It's in DuPont and shares the same access as Hooker and Triple Falls. You'll pass triple on the way to high falls, which is equally impressive.

Nice! Went on a waterfall hunt myself last weekend. Rode down some fire roads to Bridal Veil Falls then back to hit Hooker Creek and Ridgeline. So nice to be at a waterfall by yourself after the crowds left. Great video.

I got to ride all these trails except Ridgeline yesterday for my first trip to DuPont. The chunky downhill on Burnt was wet so it was sketchy, but I still had to hit it. Really liked the downhills on Longside and Big Rock too.

excellent video again! thank you for naming the trails. How much climbing was involved each day? you deserved way more subscriber!
@SemiSendy4 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Federico! That means a lot my friend. Climbing is pretty mellow. Everything on the Corn Mill Shoals side totaled 1,450ft. The Lake Imaging/Ridgeline side isn't bad either, probably somewhere around 1k' or less if you hit Hickory Mtn. into Ridgeline.

Another great vid. I've always wanted to ride Dupont. Mind commenting where you parked at the start? That would help me figure out your route advice. Thinking about making a trip there next weekend... and Beech Mountain at the end of July (thanks to your other video). And Snowshoe next? That's where we honeymooned. So many rad trips so many weeks in a row.... you guys suck. :-)
@SemiSendy4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Kevin, glad you enjoyed this one. Best way to do the highlights is to break it into two rides if you're doing it all in a single day. Start at Corn Mill Shoals parking. Take Corn Mill Shoals trail out to the second turn onto Burnt Man to run it clockwise. Then take Corn Mill Shoal to little river trail out to Cedar Rock to climb the slick rock up. Then take Big Rock trail on the side that finishes right by Corn Mill Shoals parking. It makes a figure 8 in total. Hop in the car, cruise over to Lake Imaging parking. Take Lake Imaging road to a left onto Jim Branch, then left onto buck forest road, left onto white pine, left onto hooker, left onto Ridgeline. If you feel really good at the end of Hooker, take a right onto Ridgeline instead, and take the second left onto hickory mountain to ride that trail counter-clockwise. The Hickory descent is awesome, and feeds right back into Ridgeline. Combining these two makes for one of the longest descents in DuPont.
