The LRA is built off the Short Term value and not the momentary. The Integrated Loudness though is taken from the Momentary Value.

Ian, how did you get your hand around the Ariana Grande mix? Serban mixes hot, pretty much already "mastered", leaving no headroom for mastering, he wants his sound to be preserved. This is info from his right hand, John Hanes. It feels like this "EQ mix" is something made up. Would like some clarification. Thanks Ian!

I believe the mix was made from stems, but I don't know their origin, sorry. the "EQ" part just means a rough EQ match to the mastered version for a better comparison, I also have a raw mix file that is similarly dynamic. I've also heard that Serban mixes hot, but clearly not, at least in this case. There's no way I know of to "undo" the kind of loudness we're hearing in the master here. Maybe he's changed the way he works since this song...?

Thanks for the input. No, Serban delivers consistent mixes, he didn’t change his way of working. But mind you, his son Alex is taking care of a good amount of mixes, maybe that Ariana Grande track was from him.

All these different people in the video and in the chat,, some professionals,, most at least fairly educated on loudness,, and none of these people can agree on what they are hearing,,, what chance does a common listener have,,, and you wonder why there is a loudness war in the first place...

Well, this is why the online tutorials on internet (especially KZbin) that made by producers and engineers that tells people to make their tracks loud in the popular songs that heard on let's say Spotify. I don't think this is gonna bring back dynamics anytime soon. However, all hope was not lost since Dolby Atmos for Music has their standards and especially the loudness specification. For me, I feel the Dolby Atmos mix has more dynamics than stereo.
