This song was taught to me as a child and youth through many sweat lodges and teachings lodges poured and guided by Baha'i and respected Ojibwe elder Nick Hockings of the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians. Being a Baha'i, Nick added "Baha'u'llah" to this traditional protection song. It is with his permission that it is shared.
The words of this song are simple but profound. In Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe language) the singer declares "I see the Eagle. I see Baha'u'llah." The Eagle represents the intermediary between the Creator and His creation. In a way, somewhat similarly to the Manifestation of God.
