One thing no Giant fan ever talks about is how lucky we were to have the front 7 we had in 86, because the secondary might have been the worst starting secondary to ever win a Super Bowl. Terry Kinard was injured most of the year, and Kenny Hill was the best player in the defensive backfield. Elvis "toast" Patterson and Perry Williams were the starting corners, and a rookie,Herb Welch, was the other Safety. The front 7 had to be as great as they were,or they wouldn't have won it all.

And even more so Tose proposed it again after 78 when we finally made the playoffs. And Coach said no. I wish Coach V would’ve at least asked him to get them an offensive guard. As from 1979 to 81 we had a pretty good line with Walters and Sizemore as our book-ends and Guy Morris up the middle. But was always upset about the lack of pull Blocking on those late 70s early 80s Eagles teams. We always had lackluster guards even in 79 to 81 , and as Morriss was very good at but had no (in coach Vermeil’s words “no giddy up”) so he couldn’t really get downfield & help block for Wilbert. Besides at the Line scrimmage, (which Guy did that very well for both the pass and the run) so yeah at least 1 OG would have been great to pluck off another team. After Tose filed for bankruptcy and sold the team, Coach Vermeil was paying for all his living expenses the rest of his life, including his apartment. And in what I think was Leonard’s last interview, he said “i never regretted anything I did in life”. How about letting another man pay your way! He is considered the first of the high rollers. As the worst ever back in average per carry with 500+ carries in Michael Haddix at 3.0 career average per carry n the second worst running back in the NFL history Michael Williams had decent games filling in for Montgomery as they got decent holes to run through as Montgomery was finally getting holes to run through as he did in the first quarter (going up 14-0 through the 1st) the Eagles would of blew out Miami. OK...I get it, not much to write about - season hasn't started, holdouts have been settled, couple trades, cuts & signings, pretty boring stuff, but I don't really agree with lambasting this guy. It's the story about a below average BACKUP WR w/ Philly who verbally agreed to a deal then changed his mind. This is not a rare occurrence. Josh McDaniel VERBALLY agreed to a deal to coach Indy several years ago - Indy publicly announced their new head coach (to stick it to NE as quickly as possible). NE made a counter offer and Indy was out. Did Indy pursue the matter legally? No - binding on oral agreements depends on the jurisdiction and are near impossible to prove in court...therefore rarely pursued. Did that ruin his career? No, if anything, it helped it. Hoover, his agent and the team came to some type of agreement, HOWEVER, Hoover wasn't thrilled with the deal he felt he HAD to sign. So, after mulling it over, he changed his mind. So what? He was within his rights since nothing had been signed. You can debate whether or not this was a dumb decision BUT ONLY Hoover can answer that. It's possible he felt the $$ was too low, probably not guaranteed and was told he'd have to fight to make the team. Under the circumstances, he may have felt WR3 or WR4 (at best) on a bad team and getting worse wasn't worth the work and effort. If you don't LOVE football, get out. This is not a lesson in 'if you make an oral agreement, stick with it or your career is OVER. It's a lesson in who's important and who's not in the NFL. He was cut and never played again for ONE REASON: he wasn't good enough. If he was a legit WR1 or WR2 I guarantee he'd have gotten picked up immediately - or been traded. A few years back (according to a Chief insider) Tyreek Hill and KC supposedly arrived at a verbal agreement and Hill was scheduled to sign the extension the following week. THEN Devante Adams was traded to the Raiders - who sign him an outrageous mega contract - and the contract Hill was going to sign in KC was no longer enough and ripped up. What was his punishment? Traded to Miami for a boat load of picks and given a massive mega-deal by Miami similar to Adams contact.

I agree completely. The kid who pumps out these videos is a click-bait master, and kind of a tool. Every once in a while I check out what kind of nonsense he's up to, and I'm never disappointed.
