True, sound is organic,tried Cyrus doesn't compare and had the Xr model ,likes to not give back cds. Seriously????

I have the Cyrus XR, plays cd as good as can be possible. But the WiiM mini destroys it when used with an external dac.

I have a Naim 5XS which goes into my Naim dac .Mec has just gone will this Saturn 3 be as good as I’m thinking about getting one does it have a nice low end (bass) . Will it replace my Naim 5XS ?.

If you have a dac already, why not get a decent transport like an audiolab . ?

Wonder if someone have compared the Saturn-R Vs this new one: Saturn mk III? I use to own the very first Saturn, and had it for about 10 years, but wanted to try something else. So i wen't for a used Linn Ikemi HDCD, which i grew to get to love. A very refined sounding player. But the power supply just broked, and i'm now in the market for a new CD Player, and i wan't it to be my last (i'm 53). I know Rega's product can last decades, if u take good care. So my question is, if anyone knows? The Saturn-R i can get cheap, as a demo model, up against the new one. I mean, a lot to spare for me (about 700 UK Pound). And i won't spend that much more, if not needed? I'm m not into streaming, so for me it's "just" a CD Player. ✌️❤️🇩🇰

The Mk3 is a facelifted version of the Saturn-R and therefore sounds exactly the same. The only benefit of buying the new model is that the drive mech will be younger and therefore last longer. Rega can replace drive mechanisms however so that isn't likely the be a major issue.

@@TheEarOnline I’ve read in some places there’s various internal tweaks to the power supply and DAC circuit, others that say it’s purely the casework that has changed. I’m in the same boat, looking at offers on Saturn-R (brand new €1699) vs Saturn mk3 (€2399). But the new one just looks so much better, it’s tempting to pay the extra for the looks alone!

Yes , lovely ,but, cheap plastic cd lid, scratches with ease dust alone. Isnt dust proof. Seriously for this money🤔 I own an Apollo, front panel cheap plastic ,scratches when wiped with dry soft cloth. Am unimpressed, sound is superb. But i went with McIntosh, yes dearer ,but finish is superb, really Rega ,fix the plastic problem ,you can do better on Saturn ,its not cheap
