I own an American Strat and an eart tele. To me, my eart is better and much more fun to play. The neck feels really nice and the body contours are nicer that fender. Also with this eart you get a 10-way switch

The only thing the MIM would have over it is the pickups, which you can get for cheap. The Eart has a better neck that is also roasted, better fretwork with stainless steel frets, better tuners and at least as good a trem bridge (or better depending on which mim we are talking about)
