Important info not covered. 1) get some liability insurance. If you get hurt or damage someone's home or glass you may pay big time. 2) always check the glass. Triple pane glass should not be tinted it will instantly void the warranty. 3) most places have double pane laminated glass, but some are low e glass in which calls for specific films to be applied. There is a lot to learn. I've seen people use the wrong films and the customers glass cracked causing thousands in damage. Please go slow and ask for help when needed.

you all prolly dont give a shit but does anybody know a tool to get back into an Instagram account? I was dumb forgot the login password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me!
@HitLeftistsWithHammers2 жыл бұрын
This has been a thing since before vehicle tinting became mainstream. I don't get why it never got more widely employed. Everyone wants privacy when at home and for that reason alone one would think that people would love this stuff but most houses are just like fishbowls at night, you can see all up in the houses. I've even seen people tape stuff like garbage bag plastic to their windows. Why go to the trouble for a look that screams " trap " when you could get a clean cut, functional tint? Lol
@ICT_Anton Жыл бұрын

I actually tinted the windows in my old TH. I was very proud of the fact that I did a great job with no bubbles and the tint never came off. Also since the windows were big I had to do a seam and that also turned out really well Would like to get into tinting as profession since I'm sick and tired of working a high pressure office job. As a tinter they didn’t explain anything about trimming the film or the $1000 film handler sitting on the glass work table(more than $40 too). Be careful what may seem cheap and easy could end in you replace window gaskets and windows from scuffing glass. Practice on your own windows first. You’ll also need tools to remove brackets, ladders and scaffolds. I’ve tinted A frame houses, schools, car dealerships, cars ect. Great business but more to it than $40 of materials. Some rolls of film you’ll need could cost $1000+ bucks. Some windows require 72 inch x 100ft rolls (600sq ft). Remember the $10 per square foot thing that’s an average price. Tinters like mechanics charge you more for labor than material. I enjoy people coming into the tint world but there is a larger learning curve than described.

Do you have any place that I can find more information on this business
@trentfranks45073 жыл бұрын
@@Abundance172 there are a lot of window tinting schools out there. One of the best ways to learn is find a shop and learn for a few years and grow. You’ll make insured mistakes here and there and learn from professionals until you feel ready to go on your own. You can buy film and tools from tint depot, express like in the video. That red scraper blade he uses is a triumph scraper. I see countess injuries on tint pages from people slicing themselves with it. You have to be careful. Come follow window tint stuff on Facebook and window tinting business. Pros (myself included) answer questions and discuss tinting cars/residential daily.

I said the same thing man, and he said “it’s that easy” yeah try it let me know how it goes lol, the guys couldn’t even tell you that the percentage is the light passing through the film, terrible I’m sorry
@tutsecret4992 жыл бұрын
This film is a trend, specially the mirror film for privacy and you can see outside, also you can have privacy at night too, even if you have light inside your home, if you do some additional steps, such as putting bright light aiming your window, those flood light with timer in the garden. I like to see outside what's going on from my kitchen. You still might want to put thin or thick curtain and leave it on the side and use it when you don't want to see the lights outside.

Nano Ceramic film is the only film I would put on someone's window
@mikeyount99593 жыл бұрын
Nano ceramic films can't be applied to many home and commercial windows. The ceramic films absorb a lot of heat and may cause glass to crack, or window seals to fail.

@@dakotahall1991 He’s not wrong. You have to be careful. Dual pane glass can crack if you use a film that absorbs too much heat. There are reflective films like huper Optik fusion that will reject more heat than some ceramics so it depends. I’ve installed film on hundreds of cars and homes. Plenty of threads on tintdude and other forums about this topic out there.

How do you approach tinting a window that’s wider than the roll of tint?
@ryanehsan93583 жыл бұрын
Well the customer would tell you the size before hand or you can ask, and then order one big enough for the window. You can’t overlap tint because it won’t be flush and you’ll see the line.
