Here's a demonstration of what I think is the easiest Delve to learn and master in The War Within, Fungal Folly! After meeting a minimum item level, it doesn't matter the story, class or spec. This is the Delve to practice!

Use the rock to your advantage and run around it while he’s chasing you. Helps managing all the AOE damage as well.

My first try solo was t6 and took me forever and was hard AF. In addition to the suggestion about using the rock, I intentionally trigger those spores and try and drag the boss into them. That really helps with the damage.

This one is easy but I think the other delve in the mine is easier and faster

Delves level 7 vs level 8 is such a big jump. I can solo level 7 with most of the classes in 560-570 gears but can’t even get through the first couple packs in level 8.

Yeah, on my second character, I just did a bunch of bountiful 7s to gear up a bit. All in all, a good idea. 585 makes 8s doable.

The Underkeep Tier 7 w/ Brann Level 18 just kicked my butt ...that boss is hard.

Absolutely. There was waaay too much going on. Luckily I’m a demo lock so I just sent my Felguard in while staying outside the room. I didn’t have to worry about the void zones or spinning ice pillar traps. All I had to do was avoid the occasional floor hazard thrown at me and interrupt the channel. I have no idea how a non-pet class handles all the garbage in that fight…

Thanks. I would love to see more videos like this, short, quick tips for average players (i.e. that aren't in 619 gear, doing Heroic raiding week 2). There are some delve videos out there but all the ones I found were pretty useless, just people doing a run with no voice-over. I finally got through Tier 7 last night in Fungal Folly. I didn't know about your tip but did pretty well taking it slow with Brann as a healer. The boss was rough the first try but as Elemental Shaman, I let the Earth Elemental tank until he died then brought out the Storm Elemental and was able to get it done easily.

Good info! I remember the first time I tried that delve the spores drove me nuts. But then I figured out I could actually use them against enemies when I was running Mycomancer’s. Too bad they don’t help on the boss, I was unsure. And not sure if I heard right, but I heard “funsplosion” and it made me laugh, so that’s what they are from now on.

I farm Nightfall Sanctum. Similar to this place, the story mechanics are easily cheesed. Click things to activate or deactivate. you can deathskip at least half or more every run too. final boss is just 3 dodge frontal, swirlies, and AoE. not super hard hitting. Tier 8 in 6 minutes until Runed Crest capped. Also, Profaned Tinderboxes have a 20% droprate from each gathering activity - so when Brann picks herbs, mines, fishes, or when you open a chest. Usually 4-5 an hour.

as a fellow shadow priest i also think this one is the easiest rn im 601 and i can solo all delves, but this one is a breeze. im still learning the class and i know i miss my rotation a lot, and ven so i have no problem finishing it

I also think there needs to be changes on how the treasure maps to work. I got many of the treasure maps on my alt during leveling but never one on my main while doing lvl 7-8 delves. The maps dropped when I was leveling my alts doing level 1 delves and it will only give level 1 treasures regardless of what level of delves I was doing at that time while using the map. Say if I am doing a lvl 8 delves and I will get 603 gears and the map should net me 610 gears, but if the map is for level 1 OR ABOVE, it will just give trash adventure gears.

I did that on level 1 with my bear druid. Took me about 20 minutes to do. I do stuff very slowly, and t6ake my time looking around at everything. I am guessing that I can stay at level 1 until I am ready to move to the next level?

Always try one tier higher. If you cant finish it, go back to a lower tier
