The EASIEST EGG to tie - THE EGGSTACY EGG

My favorite egg pattern! I tie in a hot spot of pink mcfly foam as a base. Wetting the eggstacy makes it super easy to sweep back so it ties in well.

NEW FLY: THE POVI. Trim some ear hair for dubbing. Trim some Povi tail hair for a tail of the fly. Maybe a rainbow bead? Come on it will grow back.

My favorite egg pattern. One adjustment I would suggest is adding superglue before starting your wraps. I find these kinda fall apart after some abuse.

Hi Norm nice to see you again mate. For the first time about 4 weeks ago I fished the egg, or blob. Not sure of the difference. It did catch fish. Have used it twice since. But for me Its a just incase pattern. Take care Norm. Shaun. UK.

Thanks, Norm. You say that you're not too concerned about hook and bead size or style, but, if you had to choose, do you have a favorite size and brand of hook?

Thanks for comment Alex. I do like Umpqua Hooks especially now that they have more quality control over their comp hooks. As far as size hook for the egg, I tend to stick with 14s and the XC400 or 450 are favs...not partial to either honestly. I wont say I have a favorite size in hooks overall...thats determined by the situation I am fishing & what is the fish's favorite becomes my favorite.
