This is my first comment. First, I was grateful to have the opportunity to vote for your gospel singers. God be with them. I have been watching your channel for some time. I don't know up from down half the time. I'm always afraid to comment because without looking it could have been 4 years ago. I just want to figure out how to watch the latest and greatest. I have turned our porch into my studio (ridiculous). 🤣 I'm rambling. I'm going to take everything you've taught me and that I have saved of yours and design my first journal. I have a huge pre-bought book that I started in March. It looks like a pot-bellied pig. Also, just thank you!

You could also just use a cereal box, cracker box, or what have you as backing to go in between the fabric. It’s just the right weight, strength, & stability for this kind of project. Plus it doesn’t cost a thing and nobody’s gonna see it anyway but you could always paint it 1st before adding the fabric.

Thank you for the ease of all the project instructions here on youtube... I am a newbie to this ...When you sew ( zig-zag stitched) around the four sides , do you actually sew close to the edge of the inner card but on the fabric , or actually through the fabric into the card which is underneath sandwiched inside the layers of fabric? :)

Hi E, I absolutely love that material as well as the back . Where do you get the material from? I thought I heard you say Betty but wanted to make sure. Also I'm a little confused about a soft junk journal covers spine. When you do a soft cover is it usually just a one or two signatures and if not how do you adjust for more signatures. ( the size) I have not done a soft cover yet because of that issue. I appreciate you, your time and all you do. Love and hugs God bless you hun! Beverly Spell
@SCRAPBOOKINGWITHMECRAFTS2 жыл бұрын
All you have to do is add to the width of the fabric. For every extra signature depending on the size I add about an inch. But this would all be determined on the size of your signatures.
@beverlyspell91902 жыл бұрын
@@SCRAPBOOKINGWITHMECRAFTS ok thank you so much. And where can I get that material at, do you know? O appreciate it and your time! Luv and hugs, Beverly Spell

How do you attach the signature inside your fabric journal cover

Same process as in a book cover, with the 3-hole pamphlet stitch.

So I see the type of printer u have and the offer for the ink cartridges but do you refill ur cartridges? I will get to print maybe one digital kit out before my ink starts running out. I refill them but it never prints the correct color.. any suggestions.. I love digital kits but ink cartridges become expensive..
@SCRAPBOOKINGWITHMECRAFTS2 жыл бұрын
No this is not a refill yourself ink program. This program is with HP instant ink and they send you cartridges before you run out. they are large cartridges and I can print 4 or 5 large digitals with one cartridge. Just click on my link and you will see the different options of monthly program. So are very inexpensive and they deliver to your door. If you sign up through my link you get one free month and so do I.

I check out the Etsy store and have to say $7.00 for 12 pages is very expensive. If you were making 10 of these to sell, ok, but for one person to make one journal for herself or himself - too expensive.
