Every time the guy who owns the first release set of these comes to the game store it’s a saving grace. Everyone wants to use these and they fill up 2 tables. They are well worth the price in comparison to table coverage of other terrain kits for the same price. I highly recommend and intend to get this new set!

have enjoyed the first set, but would be curious if quality may have been improved as I have more than a few pieces where either the velcro doesn't catch, or the pieces have difficulty fully popping up. Will look and see what these do though

This set has the same issues as the first one. When setting it up you will have huge corridors because those terrain pieces are in the center of each tile. The half tiles you get in Expansion sets (which unlock as a stretch goal) should be part of the main kit. Locking them behind expansion sets seems greedy.

The half tiles will not solve this issue because the terrain is still in the middle of the tile. It is a good starting point for people without time to paint or space to store terrain. You can always put more terrain to dress up the table, like bushes or trees...

tbf you can always skip a tile or two, and put things off-angle. though i 100% agree, that's an issue.

Yeah great idea but it’s a pop up book and they want $140 plus extras 😢

They're surprisingly high quality once you get your hands on them. They look great and they're surprisingly sturdy. The only problem is that some of the tiles "warp" up a bit and it can leave a model sitting on its base edge if it's not heavy enough to weigh it down. I think they look better than a lot of the pre-painted FLG terrain, even though that might be a little better suited for competitive play as it is now.

I already have the 2 sets for the first wave. Do you recommend to buy the whole second wave? I know that 2 of the second wave sets are almost equal to the first wave but I am interested if the quality has improved. The design changing to be more grim dark is a total bonus for me.

So I'm an older player and I do have a lot of terrain already if I was a brand new player this would be a no-brainer and I would pick these up. But watching your videos you say that this is the second time you have made these pop-up terrains and you said there's a lot of improvements over the old ones what are those improvements

I was immediately interested in this. Then I saw the price… it costs nearly the same as a regular GW 40k terrain set. Why would I get this if I actually enjoy building and painting? And it looking phenomenal? Ease of transportation I guess but I don’t think for that price that it’s worth it.😢

I have the first wave and sometimes I had to put some objective on top of a building but that seemed ok. You can use the 40mm objectives but not the ones that have the whole control area.

Neat idea but if it can't be assembled into the tournament approved layouts it's useless for me. Good way to help noobies without a well supplied local store get into the game quicker for sure though.
