Nope. I pick the perfect lure every time. The fish, however, are constantly struggling to realize that they are attracted to the wrong ones. 😁👍🇺🇸

I don't do tourneys for a reason, pick whatever seems fun, switch only if it doesn't get bit :p

This is really one of the very best videos i have seen. I live in South Africa and often struggle to choose the bait to start with from the bank. Makes a lot of sense what you explained here. Thanks a lot.

When I started thinking about the previous days, like you mentioned, that is when things started to really fall into place for me. It’s so easy to forget the past. Such an excellent tip you talked about!

One of the biggest things I learned is that bass are temperamental. They don't like change at all. I try to use that each time I head out to the water.

I usually start with a wacky or a ned rig but if those don't work, I just start changing lures until something works. These tips will really help!

When I get that way (which is more often than I like), I try to stop and take a minute. Then I go back to basics and I find that really helps quite a bit.

Wacky rig is pretty hard to ignore. I'll often throw a moving or topwater bait and find an area, if I get a fish or a short strike then I know I'm in the wacky zone :p

I always over think my bait choices and end up just sitting on my boat with a blank stare while I've got all my bait boxes opened and a big mess everywhere. I definitely need to simplify things.

I find that starting simple and going from there is the best method. I try to keep things easy on myself otherwise everything can get complicated if you let it.

thank you Mr Brow. good summary...just one lingering question. you mention several times about changing bait based on what the fish are now feeding on. How does one determine their diet for the day?
@LowBrowFishing9 күн бұрын
There are several ways that I use, but you can use whatever works best for you: Firstly, I know the lakes I fish very well so I know what the bass are generally feeding on at any given time of the year. Secondly, I break the water column down into its three basic parts. If I see bass busting on the surface, or if they're higher in the water column, then I'll use a shad or small bait fish pattern. If the bass are deeper, but not necessarily on bottom, I'll use a sunfish or similar type of presentation. And lastly, if the bass are near the bottom, I'm pretty sure the bass the bass might prefer a craw presentation or a worm. I hope that helps.

I'm still looking for a lure named twosticks. I asked an old-time tournament fisherman what lure worked better better than dynamite during the winter, and he replied twosticks. I've never seen one of those lures. Paddletails work around here for now, though. 😊 Thanks LB
@LowBrowFishing11 күн бұрын
Because you get more of a bang with two sticks than just one!
@paulstuartwilson48511 күн бұрын
I'll usually start with a jig, crankbait, ned rig, and a jerk bait tied on. Go from there. 👍🇺🇸
