Thanks for the tutorial. I’m a bit confused as to where you took your guide measurement from.
@HairByJamesAnnabel3 жыл бұрын
Hey, with round layers every single strand of hair is cut at the same length. So if you want an inch off, you simply start your guide with an inch for example.
@CLOUDTHOUGHT3 жыл бұрын
@@HairByJamesAnnabel :) any reasoning why you took your guide from the last piece on the back of the head?

Hi! I have a question, i have short hair, i used to have a bob cut but, I would like to try this one, but i dont knoe wichi will be the difference between this and the square cut, and also, i have curly hair, what would be your advice?? Tanks a lot!!!
@HairByJamesAnnabelАй бұрын
Hey! Round layers will look very different to a Square Bob. Both will work perfectly with curly hair
@sws33302 жыл бұрын
Which layer shape style cut will suit on long and skinny face??
@HairByJamesAnnabel2 жыл бұрын
Hey there. Round Layers work amazingly for long skinny faces. The length of your face framing is very important too. Shorter lengths around your face shape can help to create width which will counteract your face looking long

Please explain how you determined the length of your guide.
@HairByJamesAnnabel2 жыл бұрын
Being a round layer, every strand of hair will be exactly the same length. So If I want an inch off the length I start by taking an inch off. Or I start my guide with your chosen length. Hope that makes sense
@paolamarconi2947 Жыл бұрын
hallo James forgive me but it semms shorter the guide on the crop and the fringe too:isn't?
@HairByJamesAnnabel Жыл бұрын
Sorry i dont understand your question. If the fringe appears shorter its because the hairline is higher than the rest of the hairline. If hair grew all over our face it would be even with the back and sides
@paolamarconi2947 Жыл бұрын
@@HairByJamesAnnabel yes i know,but when you mesure the hair in the Apex and the section upper the head It seem to Bo shorter than t'he previous..🙄
@HairByJamesAnnabel Жыл бұрын
Amazing @@paolamarconi2947 . I cut this haircut over a year ago. A little difficult to remember if i was making allowances for the previous haircut length! Note the head shape isn't flat, the curvature of the skull curves lower in the front. All classic round shapes are technically shorter in the front and longer in the back. The opposing shape "triangle" is the opposite, longer in the back shorter in the front. Also an advanced more tasteful way of cutting round layers is to increase the length in the crown, so it doesn't look like an ugly out of date shape. Round layering is the least common tool used in high end work as it makes clients look older. Mostly used in combination haircuts.. Not sure if any of my response has answered your question

Do you think that this haircut is perfect for curly hair?
@HairByJamesAnnabel2 жыл бұрын
Hey Gladis, this haircut will create a very round shape in curly hair. It can look amazing, i prefer to cut a square shape in curly hair as it looks younger and more modern

@@HairByJamesAnnabel thanks so much for your advice!!... I will check out the video for square layers 😉
@karendonoher-rager76352 жыл бұрын
Why don't you blend the perimeter? Also what does mumsy mean?
@HairByJamesAnnabel2 жыл бұрын
Hey Karen, thanks for your comment. This haircut is a round uniform layer. Every strand of hair is exactly the same length. There is no hair to blend as there is no gap in the layering. In square and triangular layered haircuts you will notice the hairline will have a gap that may need blending as the over direction, elevation and head shape creates this. Having said this it’s a personal option wether you decide to re cut the out line of the haircut. I hope this helped to explain why I didn’t cut the line after layering.
