Hello, in this DIY video i'm going to show you how to easy desolder and replace a broken laptop DC power jack,
Tools required: hot air station, soldering iron, solder, flux paste and desoldering wick (you can also use desoldering pump).

I ve made a 12dc vacuum bump sucker with heatgun, just heating solder melted and using auto-vacuum-sucker sucking old solder, Niko sir you can try to make one, It is much easier for working : )

Hello I have a problem with the wick not sucking up any solder. Do you know what could be the problem? Had a difficult time getting the tin to melt in first place but now it seems to work after adding some leaded tin first. However, can’t get it out using the wick.

Hello, your soldering iron is not powerful enough to melt the leadfree solder on this pcb, this pcb has copper on both sides and needs a strong soldering iron, i'm using a 50 watt soldering iron. do you have a desoldering pump ?

When removing the remaining solder from the board, using the wick, you still used 350° C ?

yes 350c, if you do not have a desoldering pump then use the wick as i do in the video.

Im failed at this. I dont have heat gun only sucker pump, ia there any way? I want that dc port to place into another board i dont want broke it since it fujitsu old model laptop there is no currently that cdc port sold at the market as sparepart😔😔
