QUESTION: to do the final outline stroke, why not just add a new layer, cut and past the silhouette into new layer, increase stroke and place one top? Wouldn't this work and be easier? Thank you.

Hi Prashant! Is it a shape with the pattern that you are unable to reduce in size? If yes, then what you can do is right click on the shape > transform > scale. Next, make sure that 'transform objects' and 'transform patterns' are both tick marked. Next, hit 'OK'. You should be able to reduce the size of the shape now. Let me know if that helps?

Ah! Try this - Select the object, then go to Object > Transform > Rotate... here make sure you check off 'Transform Objects' and check 'Transform patterns'. Also turn Preview ON to see if you're getting the results. Now try!
