I fucking love your videos!!!! Just binged all of them and I love how blunt you are. Feels like I had a crash course about hair. I figured about the pricing of shampoo/conditioner but it’s just a good investment of your hair. Decided to embrace my curls and improve my hairs health. So I’m excited to start my hair journey!! Keep up the amazing work man!!!! 💚✨

I understand the idea of "you get what you pay for," but I'm curious whether it's a linear relationship or not. Like, there are a lot of people who can't afford a $25 product, so would moving from a $2 product to a $13 product give half the benefits of moving to a $25 product? Or are the $13 products still part of like a 'lower tier' of quality, and it's not until you hit $20 or whatever that there's a significant difference? Obviously there's variation between brands and individual hair types react differently, but what's the overall pattern?Thoughts?
@Jessesbarbershop3 жыл бұрын
Really good question man. I don’t know for sure, but I would wager that although not perfectly linear, there would be a relatively consistent increase in quality as you went up in price. Even with the high end stuff there’s a difference between $25 shampoo and $45 shampoo, but can’t say for sure. Good thought. Thank you for your question

Thanks for the videos. Love them. I took your advice a few months ago. Tried some upper level shampoo/conditioner followed by leave-in treatments and moisturizing creams and it definitely made a difference in the texture of my hair. You get what you pay for. Great content. Keep it up. 👍🏻

Great video. What’s the shampoo and conditioner that you recommend your clients to buy which they buy again 99% of the time? Would love to buy it too

What Shampoo & Conditioner is considered high end? I bought Nioxin but I don't think it's high end. It is expensive though, I also tried TheSalonGuy's shampoo and conditioner and thet didn't do anything special either. What shampoos and conditioners should I try? I'm willing to spend a lot of money, just need to know where to spend it and what are the benefits. Thank You!

Maybe visit a local reputable salon and ask for recommendations? Or maybe even a youtube video specifically on salon brand hair care? Hope that helps!

Oribe is good but extremely expensive. Bumble and bumble do really nice stuff and is less expensive. Of the somewhat expensive but affordable stuff, I like function of beauty, watermans, and morrocanoil. Some kiehls stuff works well for me, though some doesn't really work so well for me. I have very fine hair, medium to thin density, and about 18 inches long. Of all the stuff I use, probably my favourite is my function of beauty hair mask, but again, that's just me.

Agree! My scalp calmed tf down when I switched to oribe shampoo and conditioner

I like that you keep it real. Trial and error (and spending some cash) is how I found what I like. Also, asking people who have nice hair what products they use and what hair routine they have.

My hair is like wire too! I use and recommend - and this is for the hair not the scalp as scalp condition vary and need to be addressed through the choice of shampoo - John Masters conditioners, Kinky Curly Knot Today detangler and Fushi Really Good Hair oil.

So you're assuming because he said at Target it has to be cheap even though he never said that, so that means Target doesn't have anything high quality at all? That's a bummer. I read the request as someone wanting convenience not something cheap or low quality necessarily.

Here's a question that's been on my mind for some time. If you have coarse hair would it be better to use products containing the same main ingredient ie. Argan or coconut oil for both shampoo, conditioner, mask, etc or should we instead combine between different ingredients when using products? Example being using coconut oil shampoo with argan oil conditioner and vice versa

My hair started thinning a few years ago on my scalp and I feel like the rest of the top of my hair is starting to thin as well. Is there a product you recommend as far as brand, that will help with thickening it and potentially wake up my hair follicles on my scalp?

Jesse, this was just a straight up rant & lot of rambling. I don't see what point you were making. But this video falls withinf the category of videos that go " generic hair tip, generic hair advice, go buy expensive product". Actually, it's a great intro to that category!

Hi Jesse, Ankit from India here again. Great content and I totally agree with you, However what should I do ( being from India) as the products you suggest based on hair types are not available here. And I am not sure how to get an equivalent of it as the internet seems to suggest the drugstore shampoos and conditioner. Also we have salons but the suggestion they gave caused alot of hair fall that time.I may be missing here but if you could give me at least some direction it would be helpful. This is purely just a request due to region differences currently.
