These were great memorizing tips and your sense of humor makes the video very entertaining and easy to watch. I have never been able to remember the anatomical regions in the lower legs but hopefully remembering one of my least favorite college football teams will help me remember the tarsal region.

i rlly appreciate this bc my anatomy professor basically just gave us a diagram and told us to memorize, not the span of each region. this helped clarify things!!

I just started Anatomy this Summer semester. Class started on Tuesday, and we had a quiz due on Sunday regarding all of these regional terms: cavity regions, locational terms, plane terms, and the 9 quadrants. I was a little frightened to say the least, but I made my own flash cards, and while I was working on a Friday, I was able to memorize them all after a lot of repeating and some visual learning by pointing to my body with my digitals while I was saying the names out loud to myself, as well as connecting certain terms to objects in my mind (like thoracic relates to Thor’s big back and chest), as explained in this video. I was super proud of myself, as before I would always negatively critique myself that I couldn’t memorize very well. As I took the 25 question quiz today (Sunday), I got a 94%. Super proud moment for me. It got me excited for this class knowing that I know I can do well if I just put in the work. Plus, it’s making me more interested in the human body...an interest level I never had when I took College Biology and Chemistry.

This is why I never buy the textbooks unless there are mandatory homework’s that are only found in the texts. I just get overwhelmed when I read them, and it’s just a waste of time for me. Every science teacher, except for chemistry, I’ve had, uses PowerPoint slides, and tests according to the slides. So I just read the slides and watch videos from different sources, and forget about wasting time on the textbook.
