Just wanted to post to this video because I finished watching all the Katakana videos last night and these are the only videos that taught me katakana and I was able to pick it up super quickly. What helped me learn the most was having a dry erase board and writing everything out and saying the kana as the video went along. Super helpful I think.

Hi! I've been loving your series on hiragana and katakana! I know this is an old video so I'm not sure if you still check back on comments. I was following along and was super confused when you used "re" and "ru" before showing the characters in a couple of examples.(erebeetaa, biru, biiru, hiiru) I think elevator used in an example in the second part. I was flipping through my notes like mad because I thought I had missed two characters! haha Hopefully in a few months I can make it through all of your videos about teaching Japanese =)

OMG your voice is so cute! I’ve been watching some of your stuff on twitch and thought I would take a look at some of your other videos. Your voice has certainly changed in the 3 years since this was made. You still can’t pronounce the English W though eh? 笑 you should try the English tongue twister “How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood” that would be an hilarious video. A woodchuck in this instance is a marmot. It’s not quite as bad as 裏庭には二羽庭には二羽鶏がいる - Chickens in the yard though. Anyway, please don’t remake your older videos if we are going to lose the cute Misa voice. おねがいね(≧∇≦)

Is there a specific way to write 'ri' in Hiragana and Katakana so you can tell them apart besides the line being curved because sometimes I look at a Japanese label on a product and it has "ri" but I can't tell which one it is cause it looks kinda like both :/ Otherwise, your character guides are very clear and helped a lot; I have learned all the hiragana and katakana characters. ありがとうございます!

I always thought ei (エイ) made a good 'a' sound. It's mostly from the e (エ) sound, though. Surprised SEERU (セール) is sale instead of SEIRU (セイル).

4:50 shouldn't have paused the video. I tried finding a correlation between a cow and the number 4, since that katakana "mu" looks like a 4 and the sound reminds me of a cow, so when i finally found the correlation (cows have 4 udders) i unpaused the video and regretted having ever having a brain :D
