This video is completely misleading. Squarespace doesn't allow you to keep the sites for free more than 2 weeks. After that you need to pay at least $23/mo to keep it going. This makes the profitability of this business idea questionable, to say the least. Basically, you need to sell at least one instance of the "template" (which is actually an e-commerse site) every couple of months to have profit. This completely kills the idea "make a template a day and see what sells". Just to give you some numbers: Say we sell the "template" for $149. The Etsy payments gateway has commission of about 4% (depending on country where you live), plus 6.5% Etsy commission, plus external advertisement fee of 15% (it's random, but let's take it into an account as well). So you will get about $111 from your $149 sale. To make any profit on your template, you need to make at least 1 sale in 4 months. And even before you make your first sale, you will be paying $23/mo per every template upfront. To me, this is rather expensive and risky business, and for beginners this totally does not worth the investment.

Seeing how all the fees add up and cut into profits, along with the obvious fact that a beginner isn't going to reliably make sales very quickly at first, gives me more reason to back out of this... I'd like to give it a try, but I can't afford the initial investment. Thanks for saving me from some future financial losses.

The problem is once you find a way to make $1,000 a day and you tell people about it. Everybody starts copying you and then the market becomes over saturated, then suddenly you go from making a lot to nothing very quickly.

I remember this happened a few times...one was where people were making videos on how to make low information quick books on amazon and then the market got saturated and no one made money. Then it was all about dropshipping and everyone did it and the droppshipping market crashed. Its the people that get in in the beginning that make the money. Now if you go to Etsy you will find these templates all over it sitting there. You gotta be first and it has to be an untapped hustle. By the time you hear about it, its too late

Hello, the video was incredibly informative and well structured. But it got me thinking that sometimes when I see website templates being sold on Etsy, the product page will say that it is an Instant Download. Do you know how the seller achieved this? Because you explained that they would have to input their email first and we manually transfer the website template to them

You're a good salesman and had me convinced until I scrolled through the comments. There are a few people that pointed out the costs as Squarespace doesn't let you keep the sites...also, probably should tell us if Squarespace is free or if you have to pay to do this because a few people mentioned having to pay for a Squarespace subscription. You didn't respond to those comments at all. Probably should mention etsy costs. A good video should be thorough and reveal any pitfallls to those unfamiliar.
