Memories of helping my grandma make strudel dough! Interesting: Every burek/pita/gibanica I've ever had was loaded with cultured dairy, and I thought I'd never enjoy such a treat again since going vegan. Your Aunt's recipe gives me joy! TFP : )

And it's vegan! Thanks so much for sharing! What is the traditional name for this pita? Just a suggestion... maybe put the traditional name of the dish and the word 'vegan' in the description. That's how I found your channel a couple of months ago, I was looking for vegan recipes ☺️ Also, your auntie is lovely and it's very generous of her to share her family recipe.

I want to try to make this over the weekend, but just to be sure I understand the filling, is the potato or the onion cooked first or are they both raw when you put them in the dough?

Angelo Randazzo Angelo potato and onion are not cooked first. They are fresh. I hope you make and love it as I do

This looks like a potato stuffed phylo roll with salt.....very simple but very bland seeing that there is no other spices used.

Ro Steve Steve we show you how to make Pita very simple. If you like you can put black pepper in it but that will change the taste little but. Salt is used very gently here and you can adjust it for your taste. Try and see how good it is.
