How many litres of oil did you put in ?
@williamlynd3052 Жыл бұрын
You said in looking at the oil, it looked overdue - how many miles (or kilometers) had it been since the previous change? How many miles would you recommend if mainly highway miles?
@Ben_drvr Жыл бұрын
At the time I was driving a lot of miles daily. Personally I'm happy with every 8,000 miles, some may say sooner, some may say leave it later.

Any advice how to get the Service Due light off the dash? ☘️
@Ben_drvr2 жыл бұрын
Depending on which is due, you can go into the settings on the mmi and reset the oil interval or you will need a scanner to plug into the computer and reset the interval for the full service/inspection
@cathymcevoy52082 жыл бұрын
@@Ben_drvr many thanks. Audi charged me €145 just to plug in and read her last wk. They won't knock it off as they are liable. They must do the service 🤷♀️. It can stay on so Lol

Hello i dont know if anyone can help me i am going to buy audi a4 2012 2.0 diesel at 97k miles and i was wondering would yous say that this car is relayble
@Ben_drvr2 жыл бұрын
No car will ever be 100% reliable, however, with proper maintenance, Audis can last hundreds of thousands of miles. They can be expensive for parts, so be prepared for that, but in general they are solid cars.

Wheres the best place to put the axle stands?
@Ben_drvr3 жыл бұрын
Audi rather helpful have a very faint triangle on the sill (just under the side skirts) pointing to the best location. Theres a ridge further underneath the car from where the arrow points, which is your best place to put them. There's one arrow at each end of the car. Just behind/in front of the wheel depending which end of the car you're lifting.

Does your A4 have oil consumption issue?
@Ben_drvr3 жыл бұрын
No issues with oil consumption at all. Although the car is serviced regularly enough that I might not notice it. Very common problem with the old 1.9 TDI
@Tall-Cool-Drink3 жыл бұрын
@@Ben_drvr I've owned 2005 A4 and 2014. They both had oil burning issue. Started to notice it at about 60,000 miles, then progressively got worse. I still have the 2014, and I would like to trade it in, but I'm afraid to get another Audi because of it. Anyway, Thanks for responding.

@@Tall-Cool-Drink it's not something I would worry too much about, I've dealt with a lot of Audis and the issue isn't a prominent one in the modern cars.

Don't you have to use a pump to fully suck all the oil of this engine?
@Ben_drvr2 жыл бұрын
No, you wouldn't want to take every last drop of old oil out of your engine. This would leave your engine components completely unlubricated on your next start up and cause a lot of unnecessary wear to your engine.
@guswind46362 жыл бұрын
@@Ben_drvr Sure I meant fully suck the old oil and then refill before start up engine of course
@Ben_drvr2 жыл бұрын
@@guswind4636 This would still cause the same issue. You would have a short period of time where certain components would then be unlubricated.
@guswind46362 жыл бұрын
@@Ben_drvr I see you still don't get my point, the standard's Audi procedure to replace engine oil in Audi A4 B9 indicates it must done with a pump machine and the oil is suck from dedicated hole under car bonnet, since your model is B8 I am unsure whether a pump machine must be used too
@Ben_drvr2 жыл бұрын
@@guswind4636 This is not something you need to do on the B8 model. That method is a more recent introduction from VAG and other car manufacturers.
