The EastIdahoNews.com 2017 Secret Santa Special

A Secret Santa asked the EastIdahoNews.com team to help distribute $200,000 to deserving families and individuals living in east Idaho over the month of December.
All of the money was given out and some of the surprises were recorded.

@Bill Pii Im studying to become a doctor, and as doctors or allied health professionals we dont ask for credit because some things our out of our hands. When did i say that the reason for her daughter is still alive? i was just sayings god existence is real and if suffering in life is a reason to dismiss it then thats wrong. Who said anything about magic man in the sky? Again thats your perception. And if i believe in God why cant i go to the doctor? Have you ever thought about the fact that maybe God gives us knowledge and courage and wisdom to learn about all facets of life? I dont go to church every sunday nor do i preach about it but faith is something beautiful and if you find it in your life it doesnt mean your struggles will become easier or worse it just means your outlook on life is different. You add insult by implying im delusional for having a faith when it seems that you are someone who is more narrow minded then anyone else.

Yeah, I'm glad to see there aren't dumb comments (that I've noticed at least) about "They didn't seem happy! They didn't cry!" and other nonsense like that. People react differently to emotions, that's also why some people cry during movies while others don't, why some people laugh when they get nervous while others don't etc. To expect everyone to just break down in tears whenever something emotional happens is just showing a complete ignorance of human beings and of emotional responses.

When I was a teen, my parents were friends with a couple. The husband ran 5Ks and stuff and one day just tripped over his own feet practicing and it felt wrong. Turns out it was ALS. The wife was just an absolute rock for years as he fought using experimental treatments and stuff to delay the effects. Such a wonderful display of love.

Eric Fical God I hope your parliament can get it together and manage to agree on something SO important which affects almost everyone. I just do NOT get it. Life looks very hard in America if you're an average family and happen to get sick. I can't even imagine how some of these people manage at all. I work hard and cost of living is high where I live in Australia but I know if I or my children get sick our health system will cover the costs. it's such a small cost out of the taxes of working Australians, and it covers everyone.

Death sentence. I’ve lost one friend and have 2 others with it now, diagnosed the same month. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclorosis. 3-5 year life expectancy. Only the very outliers live longer. It presents similarly but they don’t have a clue what causes it. And there is 0 and I mean 0 treatment. NOTHING. It may turn out to be as many as 6 different things: diet, repetitive brain injury, genetic, military service, varsity college sports. All are risk factors. It absolutely horrible as one slowly loses bodily function yet maintains 100% mental clarity. A victim becomes a prisoner of their body: can’t breathe, chew, swallow, move much more than an eyeball.

I'm from Lethbridge Alberta Canada and today is Xmas eve and I'm a dad of 2 boys and tonight I'm supposed to go to my exes house for Xmas and I've been uneasy all day and didn't want to go. My top 3 tear jerkers that had my emotions all over the place 😥❤️😁🤷🏽‍♀️: 👉🏾 1st The young man with ALS (how your health can decline within a blink of an eye and how he still manage to say THANK YOU with his eyes he deserved wayyy much more!!!). 2nd 👉🏾 The lady who had the simple note list that she finally hung on her door (The fact she didn’t have hardly nothing but she was still in good spirits from the moment she first opened the door she offering them spaghetti and pie that’s strength to not let the stress take over her joyful spirits may blessings pour onto her!!🙏🏾). 3rd 👉🏾 Just that hug that the lady from Barnes & Noble gave to him (I just felt the hug through the screen the fact that she was just beyond grateful I could use that kind of hug!!😊)
