Mr Mike, Hello. Cool children's Horror books, gotta love Sleepy Hollow, one of my favorites was Where The Wild Things Are. Legends Of The World's Finest, sounds interesting the art is not bad, very cool that Walt Simonson worked on it, I always liked the old school World's Finest of course. Yeah 90's is still new to me as well. Cool commercials. Zombies were a great band, in my opinion Time Of The Season, was a brilliant song great lyrics. Very cool Scary Monsters mags, especially#7 very cool front cover I Was A Teenage Werewolf & Wolfman back cover, I had that Aurora Wolfman model in early to mid 70's. Speaking of Famous Monsters, they brought it back & speaking of Fangoria they still publish it, I'm sure it's not as good though. Very cool I Was A Teenage Werewolf music video, one of my favorits horror movies, a very young Michael Landon played the Werewolf. Sorry for the long comments.

@@michaeltaylor978 Where The Wild Things Are was my favorite children's story 👊 The Zombies had some cool songs, I need to dig deeper into their catalog. I also prefer the older comics, but sometimes the new stuff can surprise you 😊 I would like to add more Scary Monsters to my collection - they have the right kind of horror for my taste. Thanks for tuning in Brother Michael - take care 🫡

Great stuff ECR, excellent episode! You are doing wonderful presenting knowledge and your own personal anecdotes, wrapped in a lot of creativity, humor, music and fun. Really enjoy the show! I immediately had to go online and find a copy of that Scary Monsters with Gorgo and Reptilicus on the cover as they are two of my favorite monster movies, especially Gorgo.

@@LeadPaint1 Thank you Greg 👊😎 I'm getting a little more comfortable making these - I also want to be more conscious of how long they run 😁 I know we can fire up the Internet at any time and watch our favorite movies, but I miss the local movie of the week broadcasts - many monsters, ghouls, and ghosts were discovered watching those😁 Take care and I really appreciate you stopping by and supporting 🫡

Love the intro. Interesting kids books. I have a collection of the Little Golden Books and other children’s books and records. Those books you showed remind me of the books we could order in school. I wish I had kept them. Great video!

@@captainstrangelife Little Golden Books served so many purposes for us growing up. We would read them, but we would also use them to build forts for our Army men and use them as ramps for our toy cars 😊 Thanks for stopping by Captain - take care hombre 🫡

The vintage report from the costume store was from up here north in Canada! The reporter said he was from CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) Saskatoon (in the prairies province of Saskatchewan) if I heard correctly. Excellent musical guests! I love the Zombies and ''She's Not There'' is one of their best tunes. I've never seen or even heard of Scary Monsters magazine! Looks like old school fun! Thanks for showing them Easy!

@@Rangersly I thought you would enjoy the CBC footage 😊 I have found some cool stuff from their archives ( the B/W footage about the comic shop was from there ). The Scary Monsters Magazine is a nice alternative to the more expensive options for sure. I need to dig into The Zombies catalog and see if they have more spooky songs 😁 Thank you Ranger - keep patrolling the prairies Amigo 🫡

I can't believe how surprised that kid was by that Burger Chef magic meal trick, mind you I can't work out how he did it either, it's almost like her brother had conjured up the dark arts. Also I called Dial-A-Joke, I didn't laugh once, especially when I got my phone bill!
@easycomicreader3 ай бұрын
@@tmpsfrommars I feel somewhat responsible for the Dial-a-Joke hotline, so if this one doesn't work, please let me know : Q: Why was the vampire locked up in an asylum? A: He went bats Those two kids pursued their practice of the dark arts. They are the master minds responsible for deceiving thousands of people to practice the art of encapsulating comics, cards, toys, and video games in plastic prisons - promising their followers that the items will increase in value 😱
@tmpsfrommars3 ай бұрын
@@easycomicreader That was a lot funnier than anything on that hotline! I thought I recognised those kids from somewhere, the one time the dark arts actually worked as well.

All good stuff mate, creepy Halloween goodness throughout. I have one of those Brereton comics, not the monster fighting one although I did see that is passing and thought a bit too way out there so never collected it. The guy does have an interesting style.

@@thegreyman I usually stick to the older stuff, but Brereton's work is very appealing - just found two more issues in my boxes of his work 👍 Thank you Graham - I always appreciate your support brotha 🫡
