Howdy Easy! Cool video! I love that 45 carrying case (I agree with you that it looks like it's from the 50's) and the records inside were a nice selection! Some classics, some unknown treasures? To answer your question, I suspect that a lot of us in the community have that hunter-gatherer instinct that makes us pick up anything that looks interesting. Aside from comics, I collect books (about history, art, tv, movies, pop culture, etc.), novels (mostly pulp era science-fiction and fantasy, and westerns of course!), DVD sets of old tv series, Movie DVDs mostly older classics and westerns), some vintage sports cards (mostly of the local teams from Montreal such as the Canadiens hockey team and the defunct Expos baseball team), and stamps. I am slowly getting into vintage paperbacks because of yours and Mica/Graphic Man videos. I also want to get into vintage magazines like the Saturday Evening Post and Look (back when had painted covers) and pulp magazines in a near future... When there is any collecting budget left!

I miss those days when we had to read the comics and FIND THEM, it made the HUNT for not just the books but the knowledge that much more rewarding. Not just with comics, but anything. So much is on the tips of the finger today (lots of it bad too!)..but we're old school and don't have to look things up, or don't WANT to. Your inspiration to experience the Kull series like it was back in the day, that's an epiphany. As you know, I'm glad that yourself and others might enjoy some of my videos. We all help to inspire each other. When I saw you start posting videos last year, those early ones, it was a driver for me to have a go at it. Welcome back Easy!!! I am among the many who sorely missed your weekly variety show. * * * And what a fun way to start 2025 than with generous AOKs! THE Jackson has impeccable tastes for sure. Not one, not two, not three, but FOUR of the most classic western movies! And Commando might just be my favorite british comics! * * * And Random Rips/Reads showered you with a nice stack of Uncle Scrooge books! So happy for you Easy that you are discovering how some of those funny animals comics could also be some of the most enjoyable stories to read. Carl Barks was a master storyteller on the same level as the greatests like Kirby, Eisner, etc. * * * Great Kull retrospective! I am among the very few who actually prefers Kull to Conan. I have have limited myself to only issues # 1 to 15 of that series. Because after John Severin and Mike Ploog, all the other artists that came after suffers in comparison.

You never disappoint Easy! On the contrary, you keep getting better! And you keep selecting music from my personal heartstring playlist! That intro once again hit the perfect sweet spot! Known in the U.S. as ''Sukiyaki'', a stupid title that has nothing to do with the theme of the song, the real name of the japanese hit song (sold 13 millions of copies worldwide!) is "Ue o Muite Arukō" which translate to "I Look Up as I Walk". The song was written to be interpreted in many ways, someone gazing at the sky longing for something/someone lost. * * * I never realized how so many top quality artists contributed covers for the 90's Spectre series written by the great John Ostrander. Not a single dud in the lot! All were spectacular! * * * The BBC intro to the Phantom was an astute selection to put the creation of the Phantom comic strip in perspective of the following emergence of the comic book superhero genre it contributed to inspire. * * * And you can never get enough John Severin war comics! But your selection was a particularly well written one to boot!

@@Rangersly Thank you for the kind words and support Amigo 😊 Ue oMuite Aruko always brings a smile to my face. The comics (great idea to have the family theme for this special occasion) and music were cool, but my favorite part was when it was just you (and your doggies), shooting the breeze around the camp fire. Man, I could watch that fire all night. Seriously. Brings me back to the days when I lived in the Laurentian forests, up north of Montreal... Fire is something special. So is water. Watching the shimmering light of the moon on the waters of a lake has the same effect. Contact with the natural forces and beauty of nature. Thank you Easy, and happy thanksgivings to you and your loved ones.

@@Rangersly Those sound like beautiful memories Ranger - your description almost takes me there. It is one of our retirement goals to travel up to Canada and experience the beauty we have only seen on T.V. Have a great day Amigo 🫡

I may have to film my backyard fire sometime. Course it gets a little hectic with all the cult members dancing around with all of that loud chanting. But still there are the moments of peace that make it all worthwhile. Enjoy your day off my friend. Love seeing those GoldKey/Whitman's. 🤠😎
