If you're a type of ironman, you could also bring a Bone Dagger and use the spec on KQ, it will lower the enemies defense by the % of what your damage was. So if you hit a 10 you will reduce the defenses by 10%.

I don't currently have a defense-lowering weapon. What I found to be a fairly easy alternative for phase 2 was to simply use a Black Salamander for flinching. It's pretty good damage, and fairly reliable. Also, poisoning in phase 1 will carry over to phase 2 - With low level gear, applying poison will probably deal a good chunk of damage alongside Thralls

Ok so you bring up a couple VERY interesting points because my buddy used this guide for his UIM but brought a POISONED BONE DAGGER with him to feed two birds with one scone. Check it as an option! (Wish I had mentioned it in the vid!) Also Sallys are the only other thing besides melee you can flinch with (I believe) so if range is your strong suit then SEND ITTTT

One of the most frustrating things about OSRS is it feels like a lot of the highest level content can be made significantly easier using the META (most effective tactics available), but there’s no convenient place to get that information. Most videos will give you a video guide that is basically a 1 to 1 conversion of the wiki. This video is the kind of content I’ve always wanted, not to necessarily understand the reason why things work, but just to know the “pro” way to do high level PvM. Bravo good sir!

I've got about 50 kc mainly with flinching, but the inconsistency made every attempt feel miserable. She would always wiggle around while i was standing under her and I'd end up getting chipped down when i inevitably fell out of the hitbox. I'll definitely give this a shot next time i have a kalphite task

Veracs isnt fully necessary, the pro mele is more of a "shes tanky to mele" vs the thought of "she cant be hit" so keris the entire time would be alot better dps. Just my 2 cents, over all thats a easy way to run kq i never thought of lol.

Hey so I actually did a little digging but I couldn’t find anything. I have my GPU render distance at 90 as well. I know they increased render distance for enemies in the fight caves recently and I feel like they did that for KQ too but I might be wrong. If I figure it out I will circle back and let you know for sure! Fortunately you don’t really NEED to see her when you go out to aggro her, but it definitely would help. If anyone knows hit us up!

IF you want Dpick and you are not HC just safespot chaos ely. Its 5 times faster. For my low-mid lvl ironman every chaos ely kill was like 3 minutes including the lure. KQ was like 30...

AGREED! Although with this method each kill should only take you 5+ mins, and you can afk it, but if you don't mind the wildy then 100% go for chaos ele!

Yeah so I did some more digging and I REALLY can’t find anything anywhere other than that over a year ago Jagex updated the fight caves to render monsters in from further way, and I believe it resulted in changes to a few other places, KQ’s lair being one of them. I find that every once in a while If I go up and back down too fast it doesn't "take", but usually if I just do it again and give it a moment or two before going back down it works for me. I hope that helps you too!

This method is interesting to say the least. It works, but just bring a fang melee setup and blowpipe range swap and you can get 5 kills in the time it takes this method to get 1. 297 kc pet

But I honestly debated even putting the BGS/DWH in the vid as they are pretty high requirements (technically you could get by with a bone dagger or barrelchest in that regard), but I wanted the method to feel accessible to most Anyone. @@hero__0 yeah I realize it’s a low to no requirement video, but sometimes these flinching methods are more trouble than their worth. I’ve done the one where you’re constantly under her with just the Keris and it takes forever. Keris of breaching would be nice, but haven’t received the blue gem yet. It all it boils down to what method you want to do- Use supplies or spend more time.

It's amazing how people still think she's praying protect from melee smh... It's an old design indicating what combat style you should use against her. Not protect from melee. You can can kill her with Fang through all phases without Veracs...

Hey D.B., hate to be a BUZZ kill (get it?) but this isn’t accurate. Yes, fang is amazing at breaking through the increased defense provided by her overhead prayers, but they aren’t just for show. I’d give the Kalphite Queen wiki a read-through (especially the strategy section on using Verac’s) as the Verac’s set effect still bypasses the bonuses provided by her overhead prayer. 🙏

The long way: entering the desert via Shantay Pass, which is located south of Al Kharid and requires a Shantay pass, and heading westward to the lair. BRING TWO ROPES!!

I find that my kills are usually around 5 minutes tops, and I'm usually watching a show on the side (plus I fish on my main acct too), so not much of a headache tbh. Pretty chill! But hey, to each there own ;)
