Hue = color (red, blue, purple, etc) and shade = is within the color (light purple or darker purple). It's not the most technical description, but that's how I remember it😂. I love wearing bright colors and this video made me want to take it to the next level haha❤️❤️

I've also always naturally combined colors well from a young age. But this was nice to have a refresher of the color wheel and re-learning the vocabulary haha. LOVE analogous and triadic color combos!!

this video inspired me to look up the differences between hue, shade, tone, and tint lol. i forgot from high school art class for anyone who cares: -a HUE is any pure pigment from the color wheel, and does NOT include black, white or gray -TINT: you add white to a hue -TONE: you add gray to a hue -SHADE: you add black to a hue I knew about tint vs shade, but not tone and hue!

HOLY FUCK I LOVE THIS. Currently 23 and ngl when i was 13, i really loved bold colors but yo gorl didn't know what she was doing with patterns and colors. Now I finally am able to style these bold colors and am in the process of adding more patterned pieces. This was exactly what I NEEEDEDD gosh I loved every fit.

It’s easier to stay within a color family: pastels, jewel tones, brights, muted colors, dark colors, etc. Combining non-neutrals across families can be done, but it’s more advanced.

my opinion: if you still love it, then wear it! Tbh I see this as a jumping off point in styling yourself. If you really have no idea as to what looks good, what you like etc- getting a color analysis is great to learn more about what you can wear! But it isn't LAW that you muuust neveeer wear these other colors etc etc. Plus what you can do is just mix and match, like using that one color that "doesnt suit you" but then mixing it in with other colors that do in your outfit! I think how ppl should take that "color that doesnt suit them" is like okay maybe I should wear a top to bottom outfit of this or something. But even with that- if you really love it, then do it up for yourself!
