I remember I had an encounter with a bear. It was back when I was 17. My friends and I have this yearly tradition where we go up to Killarney Provencal Park and climb the highest mountain in all of Ontario Canada, Silver Peak (543m) The year this occurred we had a group of 25, one of our biggest groups. I and 3 of my friends were leading the way while the rest of us were stung along the trail. From end to end we were spaced out over 100 m or so. Anyway my friends and I were laughing and joking about something, honestly forget what we were talking about, when all of a sudden I see this big black animal step out onto the path 25 feet ahead of us. When I first saw it I thought, ' why would someone bring a Newfoundlander dog- THAT'S NOT A DOG!!!' We all froze and gaped at it and it simply stood there and gazed back at us. This went on for a few seconds, although it felt like years from my point of view, and then we all started howling and screaming and shouting and roaring like crazy. One of my friends if an active-duty police officer, 6"8', 300 lbs. My other 2 friends and I clustered around him and kept screaming "BEAR! BEAR!" ass loud as we could. After about 1 and a half the bear turned around and wondered off. It was a small black bear, probably only 250 lbs. I have had only one other bear encounter since then but I will never forget that episode for as long as I live. (I also remember it because the year after this all my friends and I brought big knives with us. Not to use against the bears, mostly wood-chopping and the like... But just in case...) I hope you enjoyed my little story and Thanks for taking the time to read this comment.

@@samsonarshaw2712 Hell no. I was 12 in Washington (with my brother, and two of my cousins all around the same age) when we encountered a BIG black bear. You are supposed to intimidate a black... which we did. It wasn't that scary tbh, freaking scampered off as soon as we started hooting and hollering at it. If it didn't, we had 12 ga slugs. In "The Edge", that was a grizzly most likely. Which you should either play dead immediately, or show overwhelming force. Bears aren't actually that scary... unless you don't know shit about bears.

I had an encounter with a grizzly the other day. I live in Northern BC where grizzlies are pretty numerous. I was scouting in a clear cut and at the end of it there is a very narrow clear cut that leads to a bigger clear cut. I went scouting in there and when I came out there was a big grizzly feeding about 70 yards away from the entrance. As you can guess, the only way out of this was to sneak around him. So with my shotgun in my hand I walked around him while shouting “hey bear” like a maniac. Luckily I was able to get by him without any confrontations. Heck, he didn’t even look at me. Wish I got a picture of him. That’s my biggest bear encounter, and hopefully it stays that way.

I just remember this scene of a brown bear being shot or injured and falling over a puddle or stream and the camera pans under the water and you can see blood coming out of the bears wound. I want to say the puddle or stream even has a frog in the shot (can't remember.) And also its live action so no animated movies please. Theres also a seperate movie I'm trying to remember, with a bridge made to look like its made out of playing cards (Ace, Queen) stuff like that. And also another movie maybe also from the 90s about a cgi green monster that some little kid unleashed on his town? (setting could be a city in the southwest) anyone?
