I know. It brings back so many memories of days gone by. Families could live on one worker's salary, and women stayed home to be homemakers. Even the commercials are gold! I wonder why the episodes were destroyed.

I think, at the time, the producers and network did not think the shows had any rerun potential, so the tapes were erased for reuse.

Mandel Kramer and Teri Keane were such good actors. They were both trained in radio for many years. Teri Keane is still alive at age 96, at this writing. Love the organ and piano theme music too. It was always played live, and now and then you could hear a mistake. I got interested in EON as a kid after school in the early 1970s and tuned in "each weekday afta-noon."

Paul Taubman was the composer of the opening and ending theme. I’m sure he probably composed some of the insert themes throughout the show also. Elliot Lawrence is also a composer on this show too. My great nana loved this show and had episodes of it on VHS tape too. So we would rewatch episodes with her in the early 90’s lo hated it then. Hate it now but it reminds me of fond memories with he. RIP great nana aka MAHMAW

I loved this show. It was different from the others. Murder mysteries and couples that stayed together. I was going to name my daughter Laurie Ann after Mike and Nancy Karr's daughter but my sister in law beat me to it. So she ended up to be surprise twins, Jackie and Wendy. When they switched to ABC our local station didn't carry it. My neighbor girl had cable and could watch the Ohio station and would give me reports.

I watched G.H., All my children, and One life to live, starting at the age of 14...(Feb vacation, & snow days off !!). Then, when my 3 daughters were in Jr. High & high school, they'd watch them on days off & summer vacation. By That time, I knew the characters really well !! I'd recite Their lines B4 They did!! My kids would say, "Mom ! How did you Know that ??!" . I'd tell them, I've been watching this since I was your age !! & Now I'm at work, & haven't seen these in years, but when I do see them it's still like I picked up where I left off !!! I remember Victoria Lord, on One Life to Live. She was always giving a condescending speech to someone. I'd come into the room & say, "Vickie knows All!!! Vickie knows All !!!" in a sarcastic tone !!!
