as a child who had these issues i wish i had never been medicated. i did not have the awareness to communicate the effects of the medications and when they went wrong. if we can’t drink or smoke weed as children because our brains are still developing, we probably shouldn’t be changing our brain chemistry with medications. needed therapy, not medication.

Some medicine is like glasses, it helps see and feel and process things clearly since the brain isnt capable on its own

I'm okay with kids being diagnosed with ADHD young as three and four but, I'm not okay with kids being on medication because their brains are still developing and you don't put a neurotypical child on medication when they're acting up and not paying attention. If you don't want kids acting up then why do you choose to be a parent. ADHD medication have very bad side effects like sleep problems, ticks, anger issues and eating problems. Child with ADHD need nature, therapy, sensory toys, 24/7 supervision, sleep training, gentle parenting, exercise, and IEP or 504 plan at school not medication, time outs, being yelled at, getting expelled or suspended and you abusing them just like neurotypical kids, all they need is loving parents who understands disabled and mentally ill kids.

Every 10 years we find out we’ve done the wrong thing clinically, institutionally, pharmacologically in some way shape or form. Do the right thing as an individual by your children and compete only with yourselves.

Being on ADHD meds (methylphenidate/Adderall) was awful as a kid. Hypertension, severe and uncomfortable ticks, anxiety, and irritability we're just a few things it caused. I eventually just started throwing them in the trash when nobody was looking.

I was put on a rolling when I was 13 for hyperactive disorder. within 2 years I had a diagnosis of paranoids schizophrenia, and was taking 2000 mg of thorazine. All the psychiatrists I saw were - disturbing. Ritalin triggered nightly blackout drinking that went on for 20 years, as my life went down the tubes. I quit drinking at 32. Now I'm 50, with a narcissistic mother-in-law who just took me to court to get full custody of my daughter who is 7. She got what she wanted, and now she's going to force her into psychiatric care for ADHD, and get her put on one of these drugs just like I was, and there's nothing I can do. I have to sit by and watch while they do this to my baby girl. I'm so tired of the lies and justifications. Stop giving anyone psychiatric drugs.

Can a child who is given adhd medication who may not need this medication or may have been given maybe a too high of dose for too long or maybe, put on this medication too soon, worst case scenario, develop side affects starting with weight loss, depression, anxiety, stress, ticks and ultimately full blown tuorrant syndrome and fear of the dark? Please message me back in regards to this issue. My son has been in the care of his grandmother since August of 2015 and he has ultimately become worse and I am very concerned! I need help please!!!!

Yes one pill mess up my child. I wish I could turn back time. Within a month it trigger my child doing things he never did. Parents do not medicaid your child especially "Comtepla" adhd pill is dangerous.

I didn't know I had ADHD and when I discovered I tried telling my mom she said I was being immature for my age so I kept it to myself. And I have been looking for a lasting solution since then. With the help of Dr Iyhere on youtube I have been happy recently.

Honestly if u want the best for your kid just talk to the him/her try to make them understand that they can do anything if they put their minds to it nurture the things they’re good at and the things they aren’t that good at this stuff can mess children up if it’s not done in the right you don’t want them self loathing themselves later on wondering why they have to take pills just to meet other people’s expectations plus dealing with the side affects.....

@@vedder7373 hi Charlie, I have ADD. I took medicine from 3rd grade to 7th grade. It made me very wired and focused on whatever I had to focus on. I didn’t know much about it being as little as I was but I did know that I didn’t like how it made me feel. I got in an argument with my mom in 7th grade about taking it and she let me stop taking it. My grades have been great since and I am already 1/2 way done with my college and on my way to get my degree in business! Just make sure you explain the best you can and be incredibly understanding of them with lots of love I hope this helps

Never go back. Never put your child or yourself under the care of any psychiatrist. There are better ways. A good psychologist can actually offer solutions & help you find causes.
