a few years ago, i came across this cute little animation titled "the egg" by kurzgesagt that totally reshaped how i see myself and this mysterious thing called life. it unconsciously opened my eyes to seeing how interconnected we all are, beneath our surface differences.
in this video, i want to share what spoke to me so deeply about this tale. i'll explain the philosophy of "nonduality" it revealed and how realizing we're part of one shared consciousness was life-changing. i'll also share my ongoing journey to understand existence through this lens. most of all, i hope relaying my experience starts new conversations. if getting a glimpse of our connected nature even helps one person feel less alone, it will have been worth sharing my heart. so join me for some thoughtful reflection on what it means to be both individual and infinite at once.

I met you on PDB like 3 years ago(?) and I remember back then just reading through your comments on different pages and being so impressed with both your insight and argumentation, and now seeing you polish, refine, and make those same skills bloom here is just so surreal in the best way. You’re so incredibly humble, all of your content talks so beautifully and eloquently about connectivity, unity, and love. It’s so uplifting, really helps get me through my bipolar episodes honestly. Thank you. I feel like my path to awakening really started from that same video of The Egg story. Even though it was many years ago now, I remember so clearly how after watching it, I couldn't shake the feeling that seeing everyone as ME just felt so natural. Like, I didn't imagine it, I didn't try it on, it just felt so real and authentic, that I started to believe more and more that every other person is actually me. Through that prism my view on the world seemed to change day by day. I stopped being angry or frustrated with people, I stopped holding grudges and resentment, it all felt like expressing absence of love towards myself. It is so amazing how a single story can actually change your life and put you on such a profound path. Stories are everything, it is the foundation of our reality and the most powerful thing there is. Thank you for telling yours.

The trick is this piece of knowledge is hard to figure out but once you do you can spend your life doing better n treating others (or yourself) better so if you tell more ppl about it then they kno and can tell others n hopefully it keeps going but this is my favorite part is the more ppl who know it will make you more likley to hear it earlier in other lives so you can spread it longer to more ppl helping even more lives become better by treating yourselves better its rlly cool picturing the like snowball effect that I currently belive has truly began where it will accelerate into a future of it becoming known commonly thus making life like braid itself togather inevitably into something more as we no longer have to struggle against one another but togather in a common goal of improving life. Rn were our own worst enemy when in reality were the only one who has our back. Were getting there slowly but it will exponentially get better or worse very soon one way or the other.

This is something I wrote a few days ago on a fb post. I will definitely add in all the context you have discovered: I personally believe consciousness is fundamental to reality and it manifests itself in varying complexity as subsets of itself from the simplest of structures to the ultimate and infinite Source/God/Oneness (whatever you choose to label it) I think human experience is the mean (or average) of Infinity if you can even conceptualise that. We are the most stable balanced form of repetitive existence and intelligence with the ability for self awareness, without the ability to spiral away into meaningless existence if we had more control of and ability to create infinite versions of realitiy. I think the fact that there is existence at all is simply the result of the paradox that there cannot be nothing without something.. the concept of nothing is meaningless without there being something to conceptualise the nothingness. As a result, reality is basically Infinite fields of infinity, fluctuating between the state of nothing, everything and everywhere else in-between on infinite levels of complexity. This is seen all around us in varying ways as the dualistic nature of everything we experience (eg day/night, awake/asleep, life/death, front/back, black/white, love/hate, etc. etc..) I think all parts and combinations of parts of the human body are subsets of consciousness in their own right which are in a symbiosis to form our localised experience of being human. For example, my cardiovascular system does a great job of breathing of its own accord without any conscious involvement of my own, but if I make myself aware of my breathing, I can take control of it. I've had out of body experiences whilst meditating. I've had many profound experiences whilst under the influence of psychedelics, one noteably where I became the source of consciousness with an awareness of the timeless nature of everything. Its really difficult to pull back details from such experiences outside of space and time as we know it, possibly because we do not have the ability for such abstract levels of thinking whilst being confined to this human form in our day to day existence? These types of experiences make me think that our conscious experience is not only capable of controlling subsets within the body, it is also capable of expanding into larger or even separate subsets to what we understand to be possible. Whilst I'm not a physicist, I've always had a deep thirst for scientific knowledge. My understanding of quantum mechanics fits my version of reality in many ways, from the observer effect, to the probabilistic and wave-like nature of everything. The human mind is capable of far more than we have been led to believe by our parents/teachers/ministers and there have been many recent (but mostly ignored by mainstream media) pioneering discoveries and general research into consciousness by some very learned and intellectual individuals. Some names to check out are Alex Gomez Marin (a physicist and neuroscientist) who is researching expanded states of consciousness such as remote viewing, out of body experiences etc. Fabio Faggin (physicist and the inventor of the microprocessor) has a theory which places consciousness as fundamental to reality. The CIA were experimenting in the 80s in a classified project called The Gateway Experience, whereby they were using the works of physicist Itzhak Bentov (who believed consciousness is fundamental and in a constant state of evolution), and hemisync audio techniques from Bob Monroe of the Monroe Institute, to achieve expanded states of consciousness for espionage purposes. The project was quietly declassified in 2002 but you can still find an official document about it on the CIA website. I think rhe reason anything to do with conscious experience is given no real credibility by peer reviewed science is due to the fundamental assumptions which are part of the scientific method. One of these assumptions is that there is an objective reality that exists separate to the conscious experience. This mechanistic, materialistic approach assumes that life and consciousness emerges from the complexity of the objective natural universe. It also sways any peer review of any scientific theories towards this materialistic nature; anything which falls outside of this assumption is looked upon as pseudo-science or metaphysical. The problem with this assumption, which is the foundation of the house of cards that modern science rests upon, is that is is pure speculation. My personal experience with reality as I know it has been subjectively via my own senses. I cannot confirm or deny that there is something objectively outside of those senses, for all I know it could be a huge elaborate dream, for example. This will also be the case for every other conscious entity on the planet. Therefore the only truly objective assumption we can make is that there is a subjective conscious experience of some kind that interacts with other seemingly conscious entities and a seemingly real stage of reality. Anything outside of that is merely agreements between conscious entities. Until we scrutinise and review the fundamental assumptions of the scientific method, we will never get close to having a true and unbiased understanding of reality. Maybe this is a control thing, so that we don't realise our true potential as a species and start overriding the current societal structure which are controlled by the few whole are pulling the strings to the reality they want us to understand? Maybe it is just an ability we have lost over a period of thousands of years, through the need to build societies with governance and control to allow for an element of fairness within society. Maybe it is a combination of both? And that is reality as I see it. Each to their own, it makes sense to me 😁🩵✌️♾️

Consider, if you will, that the universe is infinite. This has yet to be proven or disproven, but we can assure you that there is no end to your selves, your understanding, what you would call your journey of seeking, or your perceptions of the creation. That which is infinite cannot be many, for many-ness is a finite concept. To have infinity you must identify or define the infinity as unity; otherwise, the term does not have any referent or meaning. In an infinite Creator there is only unity. You have seen simple examples of unity. You have seen the prism which shows all colors stemming from the sunlight. This is a simplistic example of unity. In truth, there is no right or wrong. There is no polarity for all will be, as you would say, reconciled at some point in your dance through the mind/body/spirit complex which you amuse yourself by distorting in various ways at this time. This distortion is not in any case necessary. It is chosen by each of you as an alternative to understanding the complete unity of thought which binds all things. You are not speaking of similar or somewhat like entities or things. You are every thing, every being, every emotion, every event, every situation. You are unity. You are infinity. You are love/light, and you are light/love. You are. This is the Law of One.

@@scottscottlewis11 yuupp! and being is infinite, and thus is whatever it is whenever it wants to be. infinite is both infinite variety and infinite unity. the most evident analogy of this is an infinite number line. all those different numbers that make up the line, yet the whole line, which is one, also creates the numbers. infinty is a paradox that cannot be this or that, neither one nor many, but both one and many, otherwise, it ain't infinite ;)

What's being reborn isn't "you"--it's your (our) bad habits and therefore suffering. These habits arise from ignorance, namely, the assumption of being separated from things (and people) "out there." Cutting through this ignorance stops rebirth (of suffering)--start with a short moment when suffering is present (to understand and grok this for yourself) and then keep extending it.

Your passionate aspirations are wonderful to witness. The desire to let this life time, your lifetime, echo through the ages and uplift consciousness is beautiful. And you've already done it! Don't you hear it echoing? You see it synchronizing and resonating. As it simultaneously lifts us all. That was you! 🤍✨☯️ 😂
