They're not really glass cannons, as wraithbone is more or less on par with adamantium. Them being glass cannons is more of a balancing thing within the tabletop.

@@ArkBlanc true, eldar gear is on par with necrons and better then ig in reality, while the fire prism is better then the hammerhead on the lore. Can blast a monolith in a few hits and its range is huge, can shoot you as soon as you are seen on the horizon. That's powerful and any tau would be jealous of it. Plus the scorpion, warp spider, reapers who individually have better armor the kaskrins and other human elites.Actually, in the first dow game, a eldar tank had more hp then a lemme rudd or hammerhead, even more then a predator cuz wraithbone is that good.

The Corsairs are also a seperate faction, since they got their own army in Battlefleet Gothic. Not sure why Eldar need to steal things for cash though. They just seem to like the thrill, and are closet Deldar.

Ah the Eldar, the race that lost their ability to get to the point sometime around when humans discovered fire and have only gotten worse. Also the Gods they worship are literal Weapons their ancestors created to kill the Necrons, when the old ones died off the Weapons decided they were in charge and the Eldar largely forgot who made who. Thus proving the Emperor is the only semi-benevolent God-like entity in 40k, unless hes some Dark Age weapon that humanity forgot they made...

@@Cipri001 The Emperor thing? Yeah I meant that as a joke, I know that just something from a popular fan theory. The Eldars gods being Psychic weapons? Thats cannon, or possibly bending the truth. Its in the Wiki: "Unfortunately, the raw emotions and collective unconscious beliefs of these new sentient races altered the psychically-active Immaterium, creating both the Aeldari gods and the daemons of Chaos."- Wahammer 40k Wiki. The only other explanation is that the Eldar Gods are the only true gods in the setting, considering that every other God was only created in the Immaterium in response to the psychic energies of the numerous species of the galaxy.

The way I see it everything the harelquins do is one big stage performance and thus protecting the ynaeri occasionally and then not is more them performing the "acts" of the story as the script demands (prophecy) all the while fulfilling the laughing gods plan which is probably hilarious for him but has dire consequences for everyone but does serve the eldar in a good way.

Its interesting you mention Eldrad's fight with Abbadon because long before that incident was written I was at an appoloypse game with a couple of GW Head Office bods and that exact thing happened. 40k is the physical proof of the Terry Prattchett assertion that million to one chances happen nine times in every ten.

There may be a 7th faction coming soon (corsairs are 6th, pirate elves). The ishainari. Isha is still alive but is being enslaved by nurgle she can cure any of nurgle's diseases. Mortarion hates nurgle . I see a deal where in exchange for the final cronesword isha will "cure" mortarion.(this will probably make him an eldar demon prince like the yncarne but he'd hate that slightly less)

I'm pretty certain Dark Eldar can use soul stones to protect themselves from Slaanesh but the stones require Psyker magic which they can't use. This is seen by how there have been multiple Dark Eldar who have joined the Craftworlds and Exodites who were able to receive the same protections.

@@gargoyles9999 I'm under the impression that the dark eldar are pretty much psychic neutered, they cannot use alot of their old technology as that requires psychic power. As far as I'm led to believe, they can't even use a shuriken pistol as the Craftworld tech still uses the old Eldar empire tech, whereas once initiated into the Craftworlds the seers can give them the means to be protected by spirit stone.

Laughing god also goes to bat for his followers. He’ll actually brave Slanesh’s palace to rescue harlequin souls and or claim them before Slanesh can get them (can’t remember how he does it exactly). Also if the death god just needs one more sword to kick Slanesh’s @$$ then my bets are the laughing god using the harlequins to steal it in one final F you moment, as it is said the the laughing god does have the eldar’s best wishes at heart.

They were both the old ones weapons. The elder came first. But the use of psychic powers drew psychic predators from the warp (the enslavers among them) to prey on the psychic beings. So the old ones created new weapons, among them the Krork, who generate their own psychic power instead of drawing it from the warp, as well as being powerful warriors in their own right.

Not all craftworld eldar train to be warriors, and only some dedicate their whole lives. The eldar way of life is that they will persue a single "path" to absolute mastery and perfection, and then completely scrap it and find a new path to persue. It's entertainment, with structure and discipline to protect them from any risk of corruption. They basically cultivate their own version of multiple personality disorder, where they create a version of themselves for each path they follow, and discarding it once they're done with it. The aspect warriors are different warrior "paths," with eldar guardians being civilian militias picked from eldar on civilian paths to reinforce their military forces. It's only the exarchs, who are the teachers and captains/commanders of aspect warriors, who have lost themselves along the path, basically becoming so obsessed with mastering the path that they're on that they lose their original personality, and are left with just the warrior persona.

One thing I wonder about the Eldar is how does reincarnation work? Are there only so many Eldar souls in existence? Or do new souls get created, and if so how? Do they come out of the Warp? And how does it determine if a new Eldar baby is a new soul or reincarnated one? Does the soul have echoes of prior lives, like the Princips of Titans or Knight Pilots on the Crux Mechanicus?
