I’m happy for all of the elephants who are there. I used to visit Sissy, who was called Jerry II, when I was a little kid in the Gainesville Zoo back in 1980. She was a young elephant then, and it is nice that she has freedom now. We used to bring her fruit and day old bread to eat and would get to pet her trunk thru the iron pipes of her pen. She deserve a whole lot more space and company of other elephants.

Donna came from the Oakland Zoo in California. The zoo is really nice, and the elephants well-cared for, but they acknowledged that the space was still not big enough for Elephants to live happily. Her elephant friend, Osh just recently left and is headed there as well.
