What's wrong with it though? It's just a combination of a movie and a live performance, if it's done with live people in motion capture suits instead of prerecorded, which would make it a movie. You, Michael, are simply resisting progress, just like you probably resisted the advent of music being published on CDs because it was digital instead of analog but now I bet you have a CD collection and it doesn't bother you at all, unless you like record hiss.

On the contrary Vortek! I have fully embraced technology from the outset! I have myself used it in both recording music and producing my videos! I have also used it in my Graphic Arts, as well. I taught computer classes at Sonoma State Hospital when the California State Hospitals finally went to computer. My concern is what is behind the technology. And that we as an audience don’t find ourselves down a rabbit hole, that’s all! This is all connected to using backing tracks, keeping concert ticket prices high, suppressing new and vital talent, and the dumbing down of a lot of younger audiences! This is where art becomes degraded, IMHO! But ya made me think Vortek, and I’m pinning your comment to the top! Thanx, seriously! 🏆🏆🏆

It's just another type of entertainment. People can still watch live bands. There are many ways to lure people into paying for a ticket to sit in a building, from sports to religious services, this is just one more type of lure. It's a very old game and still lucrative, people just never get tired of packing into a building, slapping their hands together, yelling woo and whistling.@@MichaelNoland-TheBottomLine

No, this is a topic that is difficult to answer. Unfortunately, I will never have the chance to see Elvis live. I wish I did. So as long as I know what I’m getting into, that is, that it is a presentation, using technology, then I can live with it. It will be my decision to go or not go. as long as people know, upfront what it is, then they can make their own decision. If a well done, Elvis avatar show comes around, I would probably go just to experience even a glimmer of what it was like to see the king. Thanks, Michael.

@@MichaelNoland-TheBottomLine They've been trying to perfect this technology for years. If tickets for the Elvis AI are expensive and meet the demand, that means we will probably see it done with many other classic artists. It should be mind blowing or I don't believe they would be going forward with it. I don't think it is designed to replace live performances, but many people never got to experience Elvis or The Beatles "live" on stage. The ethics of AI is another thing entirely. However, the rock genre is rapidly aging. It is an opportunity to bring back the past, using technology they are going to use anyway, so we might as well get used to it. I am not putting it down before seeing it first. It might be amazing.
