"WE ARE BAAAACK !!!" (Asami) This was LOVEBITES first performance with audience after a hiatus of almost 2 years due to Covid-19 and the departure of founding bassist Miho (for personal reasons), and it was the first ever for and with new bassist Fami. They were all happy to return to the stage (or in Fami's case premiere) and had unlimited energy and excitement. They've also improved their skills even more during this period. Two of them married and gave birth (Asami, Miyako), Midori prepared and competed in Body Fitness championships (even got medals). This is quasi the start of "LOVEBITES 2.0". It was two concerts on a weekend in March 2023, where day 1 lead to the 2CD/DVD/Blu-ray "Knockin' At Heaven's Gate" (released in August 2023), and day 2 lead to "Knockin' At Heaven's Gate - Part II" (released in December 2023). 7 of these songs (including this one) are available as live videos on LOVEBITES KZbin channel!

While you ask: The pianist is the black haired guitarist Miyako (who is also composer of half of the songs), who is double a concert pianist than a guitarist (unbelievable!). LOVEBITES often use piano/keyboards in their concerts. All ladies have been playing the piano since childhood (from the age of 2, 3, 5, etc. years). For most of them, the piano (and later the keyboards) was the first musical instrument they began to play. At concerts, the piano/keyboards are mainly played by Miyako (guitar, brunette). And, in several songs Asami (lead vocals). Miyako: LOVEBITES - 'Chopin' Intro' & 'Swan Song' ('Five of a Kind', Live in Tokyo, 2020) * If you decide to check out 'Swan Song', the 2020 concert is a must. In this concert, before the song, Miyako plays the piano 'Etude Op.10, No.12 in C minor' ('Revolutionary Etude') by the great 19th century Polish composer Frederic Chopin. These two works are specially performed together at the concert. This has a very deep meaning. It is a masterpiece! During the song 'Lost in the Garden', Asami starts playing the piano. Knew you 2 would love this one (& others that follow). The dark haired guitarist (Miyako) is usually very stoic. She plays so effiortlessly (Like she's making a cup of coffee) while playing something crazy (She loves tapping, bends & her wah pedal) and is an awesome pianist. They all are "tiny" ranging from 4.9 to 5.2 ft tall. Yes, this song is just mesmerizing. Miyako ( black hair guitarist) is also a concert level classical pianist, trained since she was 3 years old; so actually piano is her first instrument. For piano I recommend “Chopin Etude + Swan song”, “Empty daydream”, “Epilogue” (all live), or Miyako’s piano cover of Helloween’s “Eagle fly free”.

Just a friendly suggestion, not a criticism, but Lovebites is best enjoyed loud, which is hard to do with the mix between commentary and music of this video, as your voices are noticeably louder than the music. As I said, not complaining, just suggesting. Oh, and good review.

It's better that their voices are louder than the music, otherwise you might as well just be watching the original video. It's already difficult for reaction channels to be considered fair use, but if you can't even hear their commentary then it just becomes a watch-along/copyright magnet.
