Rant over. The burgers were fantastic, can't beat knocking up your own, far cheaper and better than McD and your BK these days- BK is eye watering prices now. It's fair to say the quality of some of the supermarket burgers has improved. I used some from Tesco only yesterday, from their firepit BBQ range and they were nice. Morrisons meats were usually better than most as they used to run their own abattoirs though I'm unsure if they still do. I use a Gourmia air fryer. It's only a top element but cooks meats very well. A lovely quick way to cook a burger, usually not taking much longer than it takes to prep the salad that you want with it.

Just a question,do the markets charge more for premade hamburgers? Here they do,so I just buy minced meat,and make my own.I don’t like smash burgers,as I like my burgers juicy,and I find it difficult not to over cook them if they are smashed,I like a toasted bun,with cheese,tomato,ketchup ,and pickles,or blue cheese,and sautéed onions,I also like lamb burgers,with mint aioli.

Our really local butchers have more or less all closed down so supermarkets are the only option, unless you want to drive miles to a Farm Shop with a screaming Havanese in his booster set behind you! I do so envy you having the luxury of a local butcher. x

I think you would love this addition as a topping on your hamburgers, or as a snack with crackers or....grilled in a sandwich. It is called Here is the recipe. Delicious PIMENTO CHEESE 1 8 oz brick of sharp shredded cheddar cheese and 1- 8 oz grated jack cheese or brick cheese with jalepenos ( whatever brick sheese you like ) don't buy the already grated as it has a coating on the cheese to keep it dry, but that coating casues the cheese mxitrue to get very wet if you use that. Always grate your own cheese. 1 4oz brick of room soft cream cheese 1 4oz jar chopped pimentos drained 1 cup mayo 1 tsp worstershire 1/4 tsp onion salt 1/4 tsp black pepper 1/4 tsp garlic powder Mix altogether with your mixer or by hand so everything is incorporated. That is it, and it is delicious. You can eat right away or leave it overnight in the fridge - it tastes better the longer it sits. It will last in the fridge for up to 5 days - if you are lucky! Let it sit out for half hour from the fridge, before servicng as an appetizer. The cream cheese softens up again. This is a Southern US facourite staple - but we love it in Canada too!!

Laughed out loud when we watched you two putting up the tent...you guys are wonderful. Martin you were pronouncing the peppers right when you said hallo peen ya. The J is in Spanish/Mexican words is pronounced as an H. Example: Jesus = Hay soose. Can't wait for your camp out video. Thanks for this burger vid. How long do you keep the oil in the fryer? Also what do you do with the oil when you empty the fryer? I wouldn't want to waste a whole thing of oil for fries now and then. I do use my air fryer now for frozen fries. Before the air fryer I baked them in the oven. Took too long and heated the kitchen too much. Thanks again for your videos.
